I would think a real comparison would include all young QB's, not just 2 of them and also not exclude a guy simply because he was considered "more pro ready." Why is Denver a very different egg? Does the coaching not matter in Denver? Does it not matter because a guy is "more pro ready"? My goodness, you're smarter than this.

Dak: Behind 33% of the time. Shotgun passes 78%. Winston: Behind 71% of the time. Shotgun passes 79%. Winston isn't setting the league on fire and resembles Mariota's breakdown. He supports the premise. Even more-so because he was more pro ready and is in shotgun more than Mariota anyway. Again, you're smarter than this. That's interesting since Winston has more passing yards and more passing TD's than both Wentz and Dak. LOL at Dak setting the league on fire with his 1 TD pass in 3 games. Does he a higher passer rating than Winston? Again, your smarter than this. Arguing for the sake of it is typically unwise.

Well, Siemien is being cited as a QB playing well. He's got a higher rating than Dak and 5 times as many TD passes. I guess you aren't smarter than this. wiscotitansfan
I'm not saying the offense is good and there are a lot of criticisms to it, but Jamal wanted to run a Patriots style offense that was extremely quick and cerebral because eventually he would need to learn it. We may as well expedite the process and throw him into the ring going into this season... Wouldn't that be more of an argument to use stats that don't compare rookies and actually use comparisons to young vets or "more pro-ready" players? The plan was clearly not to have Mariota rely on putting every single play on his shoulders, the putting 27 TEs and RBs on the field to spread wide is my problem. but the theory is sound. My complaint has never been how good Mularkey is but how awful Jamal is.
