At the very least, Charrdwood must have enjoyed hearing NBC absolutely licking the balls of Lundqvist on every play big and small. It was a Ranger lovefest on NBC and was a joke having to listen to it. Errmm...you *do* realize that "Doc" Emrick, the loathsome piece of shit, was the Devils house announcer for years, yeah? And that Rangers fans *DESPISE* the fucking muppett?! FFS, I know the Rangers were beaten on the ice, but when it comes to announcing I hope you understand that NBC employs Brett Hull (the best of a bad lot), "Pierre" McGuire (lord, let him become the GM of the Pens!), Emrick, and Milbury (who can barely disguise his hatred of the Rangers)...and the Rangers got sucked off by NBC?! But why would I participate in a thread here about the Predators when the season is in play? The Rangers don't even cross the radar, I'd think. The Kings and Blackhawk fans that started following hockey the past few years are the true bandwagoners. Tough to really discredit someone when their team hasn't even been to the Stanley Cup in 20 years. When the thread is 5 or 6 pages long over the whole season there is no point in making a brand new playoff thread and it was clearly titled about the Preds. I gave him the on line epicentre of hockey chat on the net i.e. HFBoards and he came back here saying, "those people are as dumb as you", when he learned the idea that the rangers didn't belong on the ice with the Kings wasn't limited to just my own dumb head. Sorry, but i am pretty sure he just started watching hockey. And it's absolutely true what CMJ said. NBC can't pimp a final by saying, "Hey come watch the Kings beat up on an inferior opponent and end it in 4-5 games." They did everything possible to try and pretend and convince people the Rangers had a chance in hell. They never did. The Kings went through 3 better teams than the Rangers to get to the final.
