Ex-Vanderbilt player Brandon Banks found guilty of dorm rape gets 15 years

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A former Vanderbilt University football player has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for the 2013 rape of an unconscious female student.  The judge delivered the minimum sentence to Brandon Banks.

Previously, the ring leader, Brandon Vandenburg, was sentenced to 17 years, and Cory Batey was sentenced to 15 years.

 

The judges have been handing out minimum sentences to everyone in this case.

 

The fourth ex-player charged, Jaborian “Tip” McKenzie. is awaiting trial.
