Basically why is Ward getting all the excuses in the world for a shitty situation and Will Levis never got the benefit of the same excuses.

Yea Levis was doing the most bone headed shit I ever seen and he did it every week that it became a meme on Twitter. Ward is not making those type of idiot plays. He has had bad fumbles by just losing it and that pick 6 but nothing like how Levis was.

Anyone who doesn't see the difference in ability between Levis and Ward doesn't know ball or the QB position. 

 

It's not just the bone headed decisions Levis made. 

 

Ward has shown high quality NFL passing traits. Levis didn't have those, which of course is why Levis fell to the 2nd round and why Ward went #1 and multiple teams tried to offer a haul for the ability to draft him. 

 

If Ward is put in a quality system with a talented supporting cast he has the ability to develop into a franchise QB. Maybe he will, maybe he won't. Will Levis doesn't have that ability. 

 

Will Levis was closer to Malik Willis than he is Ward.

@Mythos27 @rns90 I disagree on Ward's pocket awareness/management. He does what most successful QBs do in college these days; fading backwards to buy time. Its easily correctable. Hes shown good to very good pocket management ability aside from the fade back and the ocassional early bail. 

 

His bigger issues are ball security and footwork.

Schematically the Titans are awful and they don’t have the talent to be a good offense right now

 

Ward has enough high level plays to keep the hope but he has not really put it together at all to this point

Said the Kinsey miss was a bad route and pressure forced Ward to throw early.

 

Talked about the lack of motion, too much 3 WR sets, basic formations.....

Idk if i would call his pocket presence good. His  pocket awareness is pretty good, he allmost always knons when someone is around him. His actual pocket presence where he needs to move around the pocket to navigate his way out of said pressure is really hit or miss.

I still remember talking about a rookie QB on here a few years ago that liked to fade back in the pocket to buy more time, because he had the arm to do it.  And that QB was on a good team back then.  His name was Patty Pooh Mahomie.  You're in good hands with Allstate Cam Ward.
