if the team struggles now and misses the playoffs this could look bad

Jon Robinson drafted 23 players from 2020-2022. Chig Okonkwo is the lone player that remains. Just in case people need a reminder why this team is in the shape it is in

Need, contract, and injury are why it probably won't happen.

Yeah. I think he’s only worth getting rid of for a second or maybe third round pick. And no one will offer that.

Its fucking hilarious watching you guys bitch about moving JAGS like McCreary. Dude doesn't fit Borgonzi's ideal DB profile, he's been pedestrian since he was drafted, and they had no intention of resigning him. He is exactly the sort of player you move at the deadline.

Instead most of you are like this clown. Rising star and best secondary player to describe Brownless and McCreary. Thank goodness the Titans go unnoticed Nationally. If Titans media had more pub, it would be embarassing.

Agreed. I think these dummies haven’t realized that teams are stingier with draft picks now. A few years ago you probably get a 4th for McCreary even on an expiring deal. Shit JRob gave up a 5th for that one slot guy who played 10 games.

But that’s not the current nfl and McCreary is a decent player but nothing to freak out about.

Ward is the major element that wouldn’t have full alignment between them, which I think is not ideal. Last year would have been perfect time to bring in a new HC.

This is really the biggest fuck up of the organization and the recently put together front office thus far.  Everything else they did can be explained.  I’m sure they thought BC was still supposed to be some qb whisperer and that’s the only reason they decided to keep him on.  Once he proved beyond reproach he was in over his head and Ward wasn’t progressing like he should, they made the right call.  I’m pretty sure it was Borgonzi that said, “fuck this, he’s gone,” and he may not have been on board with BC from the beginning.

It sets Ward back some though and lengthens the rebuild by a year.  Ward appears to have a great head on his shoulders, however, and he’ll get on board with the new HC pretty quickly.  It looks really bad right now, but these things can turn around very quickly when you have a qb and the right HC.  The really positive thing here is that Borgonzi is here for the HC hire.

To be sure, Brinker has quite a bit of stink on him for this mess, but he did bring in Borgonzi.  To me, ownership is showing she wants to win and will do whatever it takes to get it done, but there have just been some major bad decisions made over the last few years by “the football people.”  When you have a sleepy Ran and an in over his head HC over a few years time, this is what you get.  After those horrible decisions, the rest of the front office had better be on board with Borgonzi making the football decisions going forward.

They are going to bring in a new HC that has a system that aligns with Borgonzi’s vision (at least I really hope that’s what they plan to do!)

If that system calls for long corners, then why would anyone have a problem for getting something for McCreary in a lost season when you were going to overhaul the room anyways.

Well, as you say - with Borgonzi having control of the coaching staff in this structure - he will "help" the new HC choose a DC that aligns with the front office's personnel vision. So the new DC is likely to be chosen to conform with Borgo's positional views and the players he has acquired.
