No i missed that. None of this surprises me. though i do think its funny that the only reasonably priced food in ny is hotdogs and pizza but you cross the G.W and they chage 8 bucks at the stadium.

I'm in Nashville, but in-laws live about an hour away from NYC and several work there. Let's take 2 BEC sandwiches with 2 coffees after tax as an example:

 

Downtown Nashville: $30-40

Nashville suburbs: $25-40

 

NYC diner or deli: $20-45

NY deli: $15-20

 

It's all silly, especially since the NY township delis are the best and always with a steady, efficient line.

So... congrats to Nashville for becoming a place that is as expensive to live in as NYC, I guess.

I was blown away by prices in NYC. I ate in Little Italy like a goddamn king for $30
