I'm in Nashville, but in-laws live about an hour away from NYC and several work there. Let's take 2 BEC sandwiches with 2 coffees after tax as an example: Downtown Nashville: $30-40 Nashville suburbs: $25-40 NYC diner or deli: $20-45 NY deli: $15-20 It's all silly, especially since the NY township delis are the best and always with a steady, efficient line.
