Titans signed Xavier Restrepo (WR, Miami) as a UDFA

The obsession with a bottom of the practice squad WR is bizzare.  It's a reflection on sports journalism, guys like PK, Buck, A to Z sports who drive controversy for clicks and fans who buy into it.

Its comical. Dude does nothing when the game is in the balance but gets a few catches in garbage time when the def is playing prevent and all of a sudden, he's the second coming of Welker/Edelman.

He might as well be a bonus draft pick, so I’m giving him his own thread   https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Xavier-Restrepo-WR-Miami

Brain: He's a UDFA. It's worth a shot and costs basically nothing. Probably never does anything and likely doesn't even make the 53.   HEART: STEAL OF CENTURY. WARD AND RESTREPO CANTON BOUND

No, that you frame it this condescending ass way is what's bizzare. I know you, Oman, OS, rns90, and the like wish people would just shut up about him but too bad. Not gonna happen.

He caught 2 passes and is now on IR.  What are you bragging about in terms of his on field play?  He can’t even stay healthy !

People love an underdog

Yes, but there seems to be a disconnect with this coaching staff where he's concerned. And the way some on here trash the hell out of them while at the same sing praises of their judgement where X is concerned is cherry picked as hell.

Plenty of people have said in the last week "he's an NFL caliber player", but don't tell that to the brain rust around here.

Obsession by some fans about XR started way before he ever took the field.   All driven by sports media and those who buy into what they are pushing.

Let’s go through this another way.  Assume you root for another NFL and have scant knowledge on Restrepo and you ask about him.

Why didn’t he make the club out of TC?  He was too slow and didn’t play ST well.

Well he got a chance in the middle of year and got elevated, no?  Well he’s only playing because we suffered multiple injuries and he was literally the last healthy WR standing

.

But he showed out on the games he played though?  Eh, he caught two passes (out of 6) and got a season ending injury the next week.

Most of the talk for XR is contained in this one thread that could be easily avoided by anyone "tired of reading about it."

"Thou doth" and all that. The haters have fed this with their annoyance of "having to read and talk about it" more than anything else. The need to always be right is a helluva drug.
