They said they wanted to add experience in the qb room.  This makes a ton of sense. He's a career back up. Someone who is not going to create problems. Someone who can help young guys process and develop-  Someone who knows BC- Makes sense

I actually think I mentioned him as a possibility last year for these exact same reasons

And even though you normally think of guys who have been around forever for that roll, Callahan would know o

if he is the "going to be a coach" type guy in the future.

Levis has rabies?

I don't think that Callahan is a great coach for young QB, in particular for Levis. Levis actually played better in his rookie year under Vrabel (8 td vs 4 int). Callahan is on hot seat this season, and might leave Titans earlier than Levis. Thus, drafting Ward with 1/1 was not rational.

Have to admit, the first movie I cried at..age 6..

Millennials and Gen X got absolutely taken out back by kid movies. Neverending Story, Land Before Time, Bambi, My Girl. All those Disney movies from the 50s-70s were whack.

This has me thinking we might be drafting Ward. Bringing in a vet with familiarity to schemes and coaching staff to help coach and develop a young player. You dont need playing experience to help coach and prepare a young QB.

It could also mean nothing because we were entering the season with only Levis on roster and needed a back up QB regardless.

What's your criteria for judging Callahan's job performance so far?
