D-hop on why he asked out

Like it or not, athletes have learned they have agency over their bodies and can dictate where they go more effectively in the past.

Deandre Hopkins was a lot different from the 'me me' jock.  He was a class act in his role for our franchise.  We lambast Will Levis constantly, but Dhop was his friend.  He would come after bad plays and try to help Will understand how to better play the position.  He was doing that this year before he was traded.

Look at us and how enthusiastic we are over players acquired by the Titans.  Those veteran players left other fanbases who maybe are not so happy to see Patrick Mahomes traded to the Tennessee Titans.  We'd be thrilled to death but the Chef fans might act the way we do.  "Mahomes is trash!  yada yada yada."

Trading him was the smart football move.

Wow, what a shit show of a franchise the Titans were last year.  Collaborating with players even.

Yeah he’s been putting up real big numbers with Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes

I try not to hold stuff like that against the players.  I want nothing but great things for Sneed.

I don't begrudge guys that leave to get paid.

I think the only guy that has left that I have thought less of him after he left was Hill.  Don't get me wrong, I never wanted him paid like a top WR for the Chiefs.  He's 5'8.25" has small hands and dropped way too many passes, especially at critical times.  But, I felt like I appreciated his work ethic and felt he got a raw deal on the child abuse rumors, and in the end, I even now believe that he never assaulted his girlfriend in college.

So, I was thrrrriiiiilllllled that the Chiefs traded him.  After he left, to hear about how he was after games about lack of targets, while also setting the franchise record for targets and also being one of the worst players when it came to drops, I was even more thrilled.

A lot of Chiefs' fans fantasize about him coming back to the Chiefs, and I guess I would be fine at the right price, but if he hadn't left, I don't think the Chiefs would have won any super bowls with him there.

I don't think Mahomes would have grown or matured as much as he was allowed to without a prima donna constantly yapping at him about touches.
