BudsOilers
Pretty interesting article from the Denver beat writer. A year sitting under Payton may parallel Darnold doing the same for a year in SF and Mayfield having a cup of coffee with the Rams and McVay. I'd argue Wilson has more elite traits than any of the QB's in the draft. He certainly should be in the veteran option discussion. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6075119/2025/01/21/zach-wilson-broncos-free-agent/ titanskick8851, and Supernope 1

Tex in a Can
The Sam Darnold, Russ Wilson and Jared Goff reclamation projects did soooo well in the play-offs. Stevenths78, freakingeek, and XAEA12 1 1

I wouldn't rule it out or be against it. titanskick8851

Something either Brinker or Borgonzi said about sitting QB's as well as consistently developing them kind of made me wonder if a guy like Wilson could be an option. I guess you could throw Daniel Jones in there too although to me the upside of Wilson is far higher than Jones. Justafan, and Titans279
tgo
The issue with Wilson is character - he'll have had to really grow up a lot in a short time in order to be successful. Thrill

We've seen it play out across the league with guys hitting later in career (Darnold, Geno Stone, Baker to an extent) and we've seen that Mahomes and Love absolutely benefited from redshirting. Recent QBs have struggled early--some exceptions like CJ Stroud.

Teams are mostly impatient and the rookie salary effect doesn't help. titanruss

Wilson does have more natural talent than Will Levis and was a higher regarded prospect coming out of college. The Jets being a trainwreck certainly wasn't all on Wilson.
