Popular Post AussieTitanFan08
Well guess we have reached that time of the year to open the first regular season discussion of the season, a week from now we will be dissecting what happened against the Bears. Some initial dot point thoughts on the week 1 matchup - A big determining factor in the result will be whether the Titans can take advantage of when Caleb Williams has his rookie moments. - The counter to that point is when Wilson decides to blitz Williams they better not let him escape the pocket because that is where he is his most dangerous and with their receiving weapons this is where they could hurt the Titans. - Offensively I expect Pollard/Spears to get plenty of touches both as runners and receivers. - Honestly I have no idea how this defense will perform because we simply haven't seen the likes of Sneed/Awuzie/Jones on the field together at the same time. - I have a big watch on this teams run defense as camp was ending they were regularly being gashed in practice. - Offensively in a hostile stadium that is going to be juiced up and frenzied for Williams regular season debut expect to see Callahan try to get the ball out of Levis' hand quickly and reduce the stress on the OL. Some quick bigger picture thoughts - With a lack of depth across the roster this team desperately needs to stay relatively healthy otherwise things could collapse pretty quickly. - The single most important thing this season is finding more young core building blocks, if the likes of Levis, Latham, Sweat, Jones or even Burks play well the season can have a positive tone even without a playoff appearance. - Should the season start off poorly I expect Carthon to try and raise whatever draft capital he can before the trade deadline. Have no real prediction for the result of week 1 or the season as there has just been so much change this offseason its impossible to predict how quickly or not the chemistry of this team will come together. bizzyeddie
lets gooooo! I hope this is the beginning of a good era for the Titans....it happened with my O's and it feels good. I think the Titans start off better than expected...jump up on some teams...can it keep going after teams know what they are up too?...wait to see I plan to bet the Titans early in the season for that reason. With the points of course. I always consider this the true start of the season....the last sunday eve before the start of the season. TF_Titan
I fully prepared for the Titans to look pretty rough for the first 3-4 games. From there I think they'll either figure some things out and become respectable...or struggle as a bottom half team. I don't expect them to completely implode unless they have a ton of injuries. prometheus, and titanruss

pat
I am feeling a Titans win. Levis to over perform expectations with an improved OL, and Williams to under perform expectations as a rookie QB. Williams had 3x 3 and outs to start his last preseason game. He’s a rookie. Bears are at home but they shouldn’t be 4.5 point favorites. AussieTitanFan08
This is from the A to Z chat with Hopkins at his youth football camp held at Nissan Stadium today sounds like he hopes to play against the Bears but has no real idea if that will be possible until he practices this week and tests out that knee injury. Lantern
So, the worst team in the NFL drafts a quarterback. We play him as a rookie in week one. The Titans in theory have gotten much better. Funny how the prognosticators are picking against us... pat

Not that i trust in the bears in anyway on paper the qb prospect and a potentially elite wr make for enticment for your casual viwer. Also a bigger market so the media gives a shit what they do.
