This was mentioned elsewhere but I think it could be worth a thread now. Initially, the Trump campaign came out pretty strongly and derisively towards the report and the staffer who tried to enforce r

Counterpoint:    Trump (and his campaign) did a photo up, knowingly recorded it illegally, assaulted the staff who tried to enforce law, lied about it and accused the staffer of being irrati

I think his ardent supporters are just as morally bankrupt as he is, which is why they relate. I don't think they give a shit about laws or decorum or even institutions like memorials for fallen soldi

Maybe could start a Ranker page on DJT offenses that would have ended any normal campaign over the years.  Let everyone add and sort by vote.

Too many to count but I like the idea lol.

Harris campaign should do it then put up a link to vote.  Get some user engagement.  Maybe someone outside of party could start a prize pool where whomever picks the #1 at top of Ranker come midnight close of election day gets a prize.  Bring back attention to just how much gets ignored, like a battered wife telling some about her Sunday morning bruises after his drunken  Saturday rager that "it's not a big deal he's just like that sometimes."

Anyone else excited to wait for Merc, et al to spin this?  I mean, once marching orders are figured out over at FOX HQ and the Kremlin/Twatter.

Edit:  addition:  I haven't been following it, but maybe this should go in the "5 positive things about Trump" thread?

Way too many on Trump’s team are just bad people who aren’t satisfied getting their way at the moment. They have to engage in over the top, performative storytelling to diminish anyone or anything that pushes back on their narrative building. The cemetery staffer should press charges and sue in civil court, just to check the ugliness that they’ve descended into. From Trump’s team yesterday completely mischaracterizing the incident to make Trump the victim:

One spokesman said the cemetery staffer was “clearly suffering from a mental health episode,” promising to release footage of the encounter but so far declining to do so.

I 100% knew it was a female with the way they characterized her. They're so disgustingly transparent.

The incident happened on Monday.  This is Thursday and the story still is in the news and has legs.  That's a strong indication of poor staff work by the Trump campaign for not managing the incident better and putting it to bed.  4 days and counting of negative headlines.

Obviously!

Military officials said the cemetery worker feared that pursuing the matter with the authorities at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall in Virginia, which has jurisdiction over the cemetery, could subject her to retaliation from Trump supporters. Cheung said in a statement Wednesday that “that is ridiculous and sounds like someone who has Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

His campaign could release an official apology and take responsibility for the altercation  and this would probably go away, but they will do the opposite and this might have legs into the debate and will then be asked at the debate giving it extra legs. Maybe an octopus.
