Yeah, it's a false equivalence to compare AP or Reuters, or CNN and the NYT to explicitly right wing news sites. They don't operate in the same manner. One side does have established journalistic practices they follow.

 

It'd be like calling mainstream science (big bang, evolution, etc.)  "left wing science" and then calling them equivalent to a young Earth creationist "right wing scientist".

 

Taking the analogy further, you can think both parties are corrupt, but it's wrong to call them equivalent. One side is fully behind a guy who literally tried to subvert a democratic election, like Maduro just did in Venezuela. It's just insane to think they're in the same ballpark.

They may be trying to brainstorm a whole new election strategy as what they have been doing since Biden dropped out has been a total mess.

Fox news paid out over 700M to settle a judgement for lying and defamation about the election.  There is no equivalent in the mainstream media.

Trump has a press conference called for today at 2:00 Eastern.  People are speculating what big news he has.  My guess is he is going to complain about crowd size reporting.   One of his first actions as President was to get his press secretary to lie about his inauguration crowd and how it was bigger than President Obama's.  He is now going to do that himself about his current declining rally crowds and Harriss's crowds.

This is my theory as to why he's disappeared a bit. They know his interviews outside of right wing outlets suck.. but even the right wing stuff have fallen flat lately. And now he's a bit afraid to have rallies b/c they're going to be directly compared to Kamala's who's killin it these days. So he's sulking.

He's trying to regain attention.  He hates not being the center of attention and prefers "bad press" to no press.  Right now Harris is sucking all the air of the room when it comes to media attention. They are doing an excellent job.  Changing over to Harris

All means she has the attention and its overwhelmingly positive.

 

His last attempt to get attention was the forum where he said Harris wasn't really black.  It got some press (bad).  But it was a blip. 

 

The question is- what will/ can he do to get attention?   The best case for dems is its something utterly stupid and press mostly ignore it.

That’s because often left wing bias is framed as actual news by those outlets. It’s only natural to be suspicious. Again, just look at how those outlets covered for Biden until they were told not to. That’s not journalistic integrity in the way they would like to pretend or how many of the posters here would like to pretend. 
 

I know I won’t convince anyone here and that’s okay. If people were willing to be objective we would be having far different conversations.
