I could list a bunch of potential reasons that you would dismiss but that would be beside the point. The point is that whether you think they should already have them or not, tons of Americans don't have them, likely wouldn't get them, and then be disenfranchised. To prevent that, you send them a fucking ID for free one time. That's it. Problem solved. Otherwise, keep shit exactly the way it is. Like I said, we really don't care. This is fine when all that's required of you is to watch a 10 minute video, click like, and possibly re-tweet some vile Trump shit that makes you feel like an edgy badass. It's different when you have to go out of your way to potentially stand in line for hours and vote. We'll see if things change but I doubt it.
