Companies ready price hikes to offset Trump’s global tariff plans

 

Across the United States, companies that rely on foreign suppliers are preparing to raise prices in response to the massive import tariffs that former president Donald Trump promises if he wins the election Tuesday.

 

Producers of a range of items, including clothing, footwear, baby products, auto parts and hardware, say they will pass along the cost of the tariffs to their American customers.

I’ll guarantee you this will be investigated…and it will be one of three things:

 

1) human error in the data that was being compiled

 

2) a misinterpretation or deliberate misrepresentation of data by people who didn’t understand how the data was compiled

3) a complete bullshit fabrication.   
 

This sort of thing happened dozens of times in the 2020 election.   And in every single instance, it was determined to be one of those three options.  
 

This will be another example of either human error, misrepresentation, or a complete fabrication.  
 

And when they reach that determination, the source of that tweet won’t offer a correction or say a word about it.    Because they’re not interested in giving readers the full truth or reporting the whole story;  they only want people to see the parts that support their agenda.

I was in Berlin last week.  Striking difference to most American cities.  Tree lined streets everywhere, all types of mass transit, minimal traffic congestion,  no trash anywhere.

Democrats took covid seriously and voted early or by mail in large numbers in 2020. Republicans did not take covid seriously AND were dissuaded by Trump from voting by mail because it was a "scam". That's why there was such a gap in the votes early on back then. This was obviously stupid. Things are back to approaching "normal" now and with dems not being as concerned with covid anymore, you bet your ass they're going to turn up in very large numbers on election day. The red mirage is happening again as we speak and misinformed republicans will weaponize their ignorance into allegations of fraud...again. When you don't know how anything works and don't care to find out, everything looks like a conspiracy.

The fact you don't require ID at the polls to vote in some states is crazy to me. So to is the fact that postal voting is so accessible and that there are special postal vote booths just sitting their on the street????

 

In Ireland, you have to register to vote which requires a PPS (Social Security) number (Can only get one of these by personally attending a Police Office with ID and proof of address among other documents, then they send you a polling card. You then have to bring your ID to your designated polling station to vote and it is checked there.

 

To vote by post you have to have a special reason that has to be accepted by the Government, this is often just students in college or Army members and isn't common. If you aren't in the country at the time of voting (living abroad or on holiday), you can't vote.

No one is in the right here.  Dude was belligerent and aggressive but there was no reason for the election workers to physically assault him.  Kick him out.  This isn’t a win.  As rednecky as he looked, the poll worker who struck him looks just as bad if not worse.  Not everyone knows you can’t wear a MAGA hat while voting.  There are less confrontational ways of informing new voters.  

That was your take from watching that video? Man, we don't live in the same reality.
