About time some on the right started pushing back. These idiots have caused major civic disruption in Springfield. Bomb threats in schools, schools be evacuated all week. Its pathetic and it shouldn't be tolerated.

A random individual citizen heard from a person they know that some other random person they never met had lost a cat.
 

Upon hearing about somebody losing their cat, this person went to social media with a fabricated speculation that perhaps the missing cat was eaten by Haitian immigrants….despite having literally zero indication to support or even suggest this.    
 

Somehow conservative strategists found out about this random individual’s social media speculation and seized it as an opportunity to attack all immigration.  
 

To support this position, they publicized and promoted a police clip from a different city;  an Ohio-born American in Canton who was clearly either experiencing a psychotic break or on hallucinogens who had killed and was attempting to eat a cat.  

 

So Donald Trump is now promoting a national anti-immigration agenda that is entirely based on an instance of completely unfounded speculation by a single random individual…and an completely unrelated police video of an native-born American citizen in another city.

 

Feel free to correct me if I’ve exaggerated, misrepresented, or mis-stated any aspect of this story. 

 

The truly sad part is that such tactics are entirely consistent and 100% on-brand for Donald Trump and the GOP in general.    
 

Even when attacking a very legitimate national issue like illegal immigration….instead of proposing solutions and policies to address the reality of the situation, they end up supporting their position with a platform of speculation, fabrication, and lies.

Fact:   as a nation, America has seen FAR more examples of elementary schools getting shot up and schoolchildren being gunned down by kids from white, conservative American families than family pets being eaten by immigrants.  

And conservative politicians and pundits aren’t saying a goddamn word about it.

I love how there are so many layers to this conspiracy and each one is racist or xenophobic in its own way.

 

I don't think you mentioned this part of it, black guy (Not Haitian) takes dead geese to Ohio Wild Life Org (responsible citizen) and they use it to slander Haitian immigrants.

 

Then of course Trump says he's going to deport the Haitians to Venezuela...
