Have we learnt nothing from trading away our only other young elite player.

That wasn't the hypothetical...

Its hard to say but Burrow has now had two season ending injuries in 4 years and has taken more of a beating than Luck did through his first 4 years. If Burrow has a shortened career can you really ar

I'd trade Simmons for a top 12 pass blocking OL.

But for just a LT? nah. And not even an equivalent skilled one at that?

Although there's a good chance this team won't be competitive until Simmons is past his prime. At least while we watch the OL embarrass themselves we can also watch Simmons smack down RBs like ETN today.

Anyone who would say No is stupid, but of course, it's much harder to find an above avg LT than it is to find above avg DT. I put Simmons in the top 5 for DT. Unfortunately, a top 5 DT is not equal to a top 10 LT.

Simmons is a pup. He’s entering his prime years. Look at him. He is faster than he was two years ago. His physical appearance is different.

It is sad to see great players have to go through this. Look at Henry. HOF RB and they can’t get him to the los. Guy enters week 10 of the NFL season #2 RB in the league. His fans, guys that love football, love the Titans are saying let the b/u take over.  Damn!!  You mean you another RB better than him?

Yes. We will trade you Simmons. Let us have Andrew Thomas.  Deal?

Nobody would trade an above average LT. They retire where they're drafted...

Typically, except for Laremy Tunsil and Trent Williams recently.

Last year I said the offense would be dependent on whether Lewan stayed healthy and then this offseason said I'd consider keeping Lewan another year if he was willing to play, he clearly wasn't.

Having a LT that can pass protect one on one against elite edge rushers is right under QB in terms of positional value.

The huge liability of the LT position has destroyed the offense the last two years more than anything else.

The entire offense line has been trash.

Kinda.  Was texting a buddy during the game and we were talking draft.  Typical LT versus MH Jr stuff.  Then it was brought up as a hypothetical as a way to justify drafting Harrison when we obviously need a LT.  Obviously complete fiction and won’t happen but was just curious how most here would react to it.

I’m so torn on that one. Obviously we’ve seen what can happen if you go for skill players and ignore the offensive line with the Bengals and Chargers, but they’ve also had a ton of success. MHJ is a pretty absurd prospect. Looks to me like he could be an all time great. Might be worth it but you really got hope you solve the OLine elsewhere.

And then the other side is Detroit who built the line and then took low risk shots at wrs in the draft and FA.
