This is pretty comprehensive. Ran and Vrabel had one responsibility after Robinson was canned. Fix a bad OL. They dicked around and wound up with an almost impossible result - a way worse OL than last

And hiring a totally under qualified coach to be in charge of the unit that needed the most help is also a huge indictment of the issues he has caused.

Looks fantastic against bottom feeders. Not so much against legit competition imo

Mahomes' team had a losing record in his final season.  On the flip side, plenty of successful collegiate QBs have been absolutely terrible in the NFL.  It's about the talent and skillset, and Williams is off the chart .

I won't dispute any of this. I have seen and been wowed by the skill set. Most of that was against bad to average competition.  I am not simply referring to win/loss record for his team....especially this season, there have been some tough days at the office against better competition for him personally. If we picked him I would give him the same chance I would anyone...but probably wouldn't share the excitement immediately.

They are under performing across the board

If an entire team is underperforming, is it typically the stars aligning and 48 guys just happen to be out of position, not putting forth the effort, or not paying attention all at once....or is it that the coaching staff is full of morons that don't know how to maximize their talent?

They won't know if they have a top QB. They can't know what they have with the dumpster fire that is the Titans offense. If anything he's probably shown more than they expected...even with the struggles. Fields was way more of a known quantity before last year's draft than Levis will be before the next one.

There's no guarantee any of this year's prospects will turn out better than Levis. There's no Peyton Manning or Joe Burrow in this draft.  They'll look like idiots if they draft a QB. I think the only way the Titans could draft a QB is if both Vrabel and Carthon are gone, and Carthon's not getting fired.

Williams and Maye would be the top prospects if put together with the last 5 drafts unless someone magically knew Stroud would be the guy he has been in year 1.  We may not be 100% certain Levis can't be the guy, but if we are drafting in the top 2, then the odds of him turning into the guy are extremely low.  All things are secondary to finding a franchise QB, and passing on the chance to draft a top prospect is something bad franchises do (see: Bears, Titans).

They thought Levis had franchise QB ability...that's why they traded up to draft him...and tried to trade up to draft in in the first round. None of the top QB prospects are can't miss. They're not cutting bait after half a season in this dysfunctional offense.

If they end up with a top 2 pick there's a better chance they trade it for extra picks than there is they take a QB.

If they were that high on Levis they would of took him at 11. At 33 it was a gamble, looks to be a good one so far.

Either they think Maye or Williams are generational Mahomes types or you build around Levis.. you can make an argue for both scenarios.

Levis could also crap the bed down the stretch but at the moment I think he's shown the tools to be the guy.

I haven’t genuinely rooted for the team to lose in a long time.

Sad Arrested Development GIF

Coming to the realization that I have to start getting familiar with the top prospects of the draft just over the midway point of the season was a feeling I wasnt prepared for.  Good thing there's still a bit of a callus left from us sucking so long previously!

With Caleb there are some mental / leadership issues starting to show. Seems to have been babied a ton and have some mental toughness issues.

Of course he could just be a very emotional guy and it may not affect his play.

I'm still of the mindset that you need to have an Oline and at least 1 great WR before you get your QB. So if we are drafting 1 or 2, I take the kings ransom to drop back a couple spots to get an OT and top WR + more picks.
