They spent ton of currency in 2022 on offense too. That’s a lot of blown currency and an indictment on scouting and FO. prometheus

Was kind of disappointed that Carthon didn't turn over the scouting group a bit more after last years draft, there is still a lot of guys left in that group that have been part of some horrendous drafts. oldschool, rns90, Bluth, and 3 others

Mularkey was a te who had an understanding of running an offense. Vrabel was a lb who can’t even field a good defense. OILERMAN
Vrabel had a much more talented roster in his peak and Tannehill over Mariota smokeater, titanskick8851, TitanPoke, and 1 other

Taking a team that had 2 and 3 win seasons to back-to-back 9 win seasons including playoff win while making Mariota look somewhat good is not the definition of mediocre. Honestly he had a pile of shit and changed the direction of the franchise. I'm not going to sit here and act like he would have ever pushed us over the top but he definitely overachieved with the hand he was dealt. My expectations were zero when he won that playoff game. With that said Mularkey never adjusted and hired terrible coordinators. And here we are. Same story half a decade later. titanskick8851, and No1TitansFan

That’s why getting an offensive HC that calls his own plays is so damn important. Only really need to worry about hiring one defensive coordinator that you can hands the reins to. TerryBoats
The power running Offense was Mularkey's idea... The further we get away from him, the less of an identity this team seems to have. Vrabel clearly has no plans or ideas other than to promote whoever is left on the coaching staff to play caller. It's hard to build a team around that. Edited November 18 by TerryBoats
