Remember when we all thought he was going to be a legit stud and it turned out he was just facing Andre Dillard every day in practice? Fun times...

I think we just run it back with these guys until it pops, right?

Was kind of disappointed that Carthon didn't turn over the scouting group a bit more after last years draft, there is still a lot of guys left in that group that have been part of some horrendous draf

The voidable years deals they've used and assuming they cut Dillard, they'll create 26.541 M in new dead money to go with the existing 13.544 M in dead money already on the books (almost all from Byard).  40 M - where the ROI of doing so was pretty fucking awful unless some miraculous turnaround happens.

Oh I just see I forgot two gems on my depth chart - Caleb Farley and Hassan Haskins!

Did the dead money not go to the eagles in that trade?

No dead money is sunk cost.  The team that paid out the bonuses eats it.  Now they did have money come off the 2024 cap in terms of his 2024 base and roster bonus (about 14 M) but they still eat the 13.359 M.

Yikes, that looks like an expansion roster.  AAS has got to be shaking her head in those closed door meetings.  It’s a horrible idea, but you can see why some owners get too involved in football decisions.  Luckily AAS seems to know her place as the check writer and axe so far in her tenure.  Pretty sure Nihill is keeping that axe sharp and shiny in anticipation of the call for it to be put into service.

Truth is stranger than fiction.

I find it funny that most of us were fine moving on from Mularkey after a playoff win with an imbecile at QB, but many are continuing to defend meathead when he's gone 2-3 in the playoffs and is in the midst of a Whiz-esque regular season after wasting a top 10 QB, top 10 WR, and #1 RB.
