It’s also worth noting that Henry led the NFL in rushing attempts and had zero fumbles….something hasn’t happened in almost 40 years.   The last guy to do this was Gerald Riggs way back in 1985.

Look at all those defenders chasing down a rolling tomato can!

Derrick Henry sure seems to get a lot of those "anybody could do it, perfectly blocked plays" ever since he was declared a bum by message board illuminati.    Luckiest back in history, I gue

The fact the any poster is on the side of Henry is not an elite back is the fact that poster is a fucking idiot.

They’re not idiots.  But they do have an idiotic opinion.

Henry only had 15 carries last week. 15 carries two weeks before that.

Even more they do not play him a ton. There are games he doesn't even have the majority of snaps at RB, Hill does.

If the Ravens do not have a good lead Henry is not going to get a lot of carries. They pass and run a lot of spread before they get a lead.

Today he had a 39 yard run, yes untouched wide open run. aside from that next to nothing. It's how his season as went but he has a lot of those runs

He is 6th in yards after contact per attempt on PFF, 3rd on PFR

He is 7th in forced missed tackles and 3rd in broken tackles

Yes the OL and Jackson have an absolutely massive impact on the crazy numbers, but Henry has been running the ball awesome too.

A combination of all those things lead to the video game numbers you see

It's insane that people have to have things spelled out for them like this. All they see is Henry galloping into open space but they're completely blind to the tackles and contact he's able to avoid due to his vision and talent.

The Ravens need Keaton Mitchell back in the worst way. Their current starting RB is almost a full 2 yds per carry less than he produced last season.

Justice Hill sucks.  Darrynton Evans was just cut and would be an immediate upgrade.

Hill is their 3rd down RB.....He's doing OK in that role. He's averaging over 10 yds per reception.

The way that the Ravens use Henry, is the way that ALL dynamic backs should be used. The idea that you have to force-feed a guy 30 carries is stupid and it's partly why Henry wasn't as productive here outside of the 2019-2020 golden age. That said, I still think the Ravens shouldn't be as rigid as they have been with when they take him off the field. Hard to criticize too much because they've certainly been good but I think they could have used him a bit more today.

The Ravens don't have to rely on this, that's the reason. Henry is not the best player on the Ravens offense, the QB is. That's the way it should be.

I don't believe in being overly-reliant on RB in any case. It doesn't work long-term.

100%. But if Henry was still on this team right now that's the way it would have to be.
