Good news for those mid-range juniors. Not so good for those seniors who now get replaced by juniors.

It makes sense, but I think it’s a net neutral in terms of pre-draft analysis.

With a lot of draft misses based on poor character evaluation (both societal and football) any move that allows teams more opportunities/time to spend with these guys is a good move.

Seems like they aren’t getting more opportunity to meet with players. They are just getting the opportunity to meet with the same number of players but from a slightly different pool.

Unless these events are now going to bring in more total players. It sounds like they will simply be adding juniors to replace some of the lower ranked seniors.

Yes but your are talking about adding a lot more round 1-3 talent and punting some day 3 UDFA level players, for teams deciding to guarantee many millions of dollars it is a very positive move getting more of these early round Juniors at these bigger all star games so teams can observe and meet with them.

I don’t expect any 1st round prospects are going to be playing in any of these games. But sure, some day 2 prospects would go.

Playing absolutely not but we have seen in recent years Seniors travel to these games practice/interview with teams and not play in the games I can see that happening with some of these Juniors.

A junior declaring for the draft is typically doing that because they know they will get drafted. A senior is being forced out and may need the chance to raise their stock. Seems a bit of an odd thing to do.
