I rewatched the highlights and I think it was a bad snap, more so than a Willis mistake. Even Vrabel eluded to that. If you watch the highlights the same thing happen to Levis, Levis just happen to pull it down. But it threw off the timing of the play. The center at times definitely snaps the ball way to high and hard. I blamed Willis at first, but that was more so on the center.

It was a terrible snap.  High bullet outside.  Malik back there, a sack of nerves, his one special play.  But how in the hell are people not much, much more impressed with Levis' play?  Can they not see those plays Levis ran were drawn up to give him a chance to succeed?  But Vrabel had Brewer practice bad snapping Malik?  It was just an error.

Brewer sabotaging the play to subvert Vrabels qb rotation plan!

This is a poorly coached and undisciplined team: - Same stupid penalties week in, week out - Players losing containment - Players leaving coverage assignments  - Players missing ga

It's pretty obvious to me that talent, while a problem, isn't the only one.  This coaching staff is simply NOT as good as we thought it was.  Tannehill, Henry, AJ Brown, Arthur Smith, and Jim Schwartz

Lafleur probably is from McVay/Shanahan more than Vrabel.

And I’m not sure how you defend that Malik garbage or the defense in the 2nd half.

Someone said it recently, but it’s so obvious that Willis was drafted to be a Taysom Hill guy by Vrabel. Of course, if Willis shocked them in camp and they actually had a guy who could start then that was an added benefit.  Jamal will never admit it, but Vrabel continues and will continue to use him as a gadget player going forward and that is precisely why he was drafted and why Vrabel and Robinson were high fiving….

Mariota was horrible under LaFleur aside from a few games and the offense pretty much sucked all year (27th in scoring).

Mariota looked much better with a fucked up throwing arm and an absolutely Terrible receiving group in 2018 than he did a year later with a good supporting cast.. Rodgers also hadn't been Rodgers for years until LaFluer arrived, at which point he won consecutive MVPs

Smith was a beneficiary of talent, but LaFluer is a good offensive coach.  But he wasn't even Vrabel's guy , and LaFluer was undoubtedly relieved he didn't have to work under that piece of shit longer than 1 year.

Neither of those OCs were Vrabel guys.

The whole "coaching tree" thing is dumb. Does it go to the first coach? The last coach? The coach that spent the most time with them?

The truth is that new coaches take a little bit from every stop, even their high school coach. There's no way to really know who had the most impact and whose "tree" they belong in unless you compare their philosophies and get a direct statement from them.

As for MLF, if I were going to put him in a tree, it sure af wouldn't be McVay. It would be Shanahan.

I think most don't have an issue with with this, but that doesn't mean there is a strict set of criteria.  Meathead 'grew-up' coaching under Urban Meyer and Bill O'Brien...two of the biggest douchebags in coaching.  Smith didn't 'grow-up' under meathead, and MLF sure as fuck didn't either.  Technically, nobody has really, but Downing, Bowen, and Kelly have hitched their wagons to him knowing that no other coach in the NFL would put them in the roles meathead will.

Vrabel is likely safe for a while so it's pointless to complain about but you do not want him anywhere near a developing QB and NFL offense.

Robinson shouldn't have been on the hot seat or really anywhere close to it by NFL standards... I'm not sure his prior accomplishments mean anything to her, or that she'll hesitate to move on from him if she thinks he's holding the young franchise QB back.

It was a bad snap but a catchable one. He could have fallen on it too.  The booing was 75% towards Vrabel though. You don't go easily get a first down on a tushpush with the player everyone wants to see play... then sub him out for a trick play with the guy who invites chaos when he's on the field. The second booing was more the same.

If Willis could calm himself enough and play within his own abilities, then he could be an interesting weapon to sub on or in emergencies. Problem is... he can't do that and just looks lost or creates TO and sacks.

I agree with @SleepingTitan coaching trees are pretty dumb. I'd normally discount LaFleur until you saw his offense in GB and how it was similar to what we wanted to do and did for years.

Vrabel hired Art for the OC. He's as much a Vrabel guy as a Munchak, Wiz, or Mularkey guy. 3 years with everyone except Wiz.  Munch and Vrabel are the only guys that let him grow / promote him.  He default took over for Mularkey at TEs while Mularkey decided Robiskie needed to become an OC.

He's a Vrabel "guy" and you can see it in his offenses and even how he's structured his bend/don't break D. The falcons look a lot like us in 2018/19.

They were OCs here then became coaches. That's all that matters. Vrabel is cultivating talent that's being promoted.

One of the most obnoxious things about Vrabel is that he gave all this credit to John Striker (Aka Stretch) for a lot of his game management decisions. Yet, he clearly ignores striker (I’m assuming this) by his boneheaded, anti-analytic decision making.

Punting from the Atlanta 40 yard line with 30 seconds left in the first half, running the ball and burning the clock with tiny leads, running on first down. These are all things I’d imagine an analytics guy like striker is telling Vrabel not to do. It almost seems like the only thing Vrabel listens to striker on is whether or not he should challenge plays or take a time out.

Also, Levis through 4 TDs and we won by 5 points to Taylor Heineke. Vrabel is incredibly overrated.
