All I care about is the rookie QB looked great and might be the answer long term. I hope he starts the rest of the season and the Titans win the division.

A number of posters 100% made the argument that we needed to see what we have in Levis before the draft. If he sucked as terribly as some predicted, then OK -- we move on and draft a QB. If he perform

You don't get to add the 2nd part after the fact but I'll give you credit for the 1st part.

I've said the second part the entire time after watching the offense struggle. I said I wouldn't be surprised at all if the offense was better with Levis because of the added mobility.

I definitely didn't see a gem like that though. He looked legit out there and those were not flukey passes. He was cycling, stepping into the pocket, and commanding the offense. I especially loved him waving Willis off the field like get the fuck out scrub.

The staff tried to wreck a great game with the Willis fumble, soft zone at the end, and then the run run pass. Burks made a cameo as did Chig. Levis carried the team today.

This isn't about Levis being great it's about Tannehill being average.

If anyone needs to stop talking football for a while it's you. You got too tied up, like you always do and it became about being right over being sensible.

Exactly. The point has always been that the Titans went into the offseason looking to upgrade at QB. They knew Tannehill was limited and they needed to upgrade. They looked at trades. They looked at FA and then heavily looked at all the QBs in the draft then tried to trade up for their guy. Couldn't get him and traded up in the 2nd for someone else.

Then the point became that the rookie needed to start ASAP so we could see what he had b/c Tannehill wasn't it.

If Levis plays well in this offense it will say exactly what we've said Tannehill was for a long time.. average to above average and needing help from a very good supporting cast to succeed.

Time to move on. We were right. Now it's time to continue seeing what Levis has the rest of the season. Looks like he has potential to be something which could be awesome.

These Tannehill fans have been wrong every step of the way and have tried to spin out of it every single time. Face the music. Tannehill is done. Time to move forward.

I had a strong feeling this was a ploy. Vrabel is a steady coach and I think knowing the season he had at Kentucky and knowing our line issues etc. that Vrabel didn't want Levis playing a snap all year.

He also knew and prob told Levis that if Tanne went down being 2nd or 3rd on the depth chart really didn't matter.

And guess what, it didn't.

There's a chance he goes back to Tannehill when he's healthy.

I don't agree at all.  If it were any other qb other than Willis, yeah maybe.  But the guy can't run an offense at all and with a bad pass blocking OL and an older qb with injury/mobility issues, you needed a backup who can at least complete passes.

I don't think he goes back to Tannehill if Levis can lead the offense to score at least 20 ppg in the next few weeks.

I really don't know why it's so confusing. It was obvious why Willis was the number 2 and that Willis wouldn't start when / if Tannehill missed time. I've been explaining it over and over, people just don't want to accept the logic.

Nobody thought Miracle Whip would play this well or he would have been the starter day one. It's not like they thought they had a guy capable of going out and throwing four touchdowns and putting up points but just decided not to play him. He was injured most of camp and you don't get a lot of time to really assess guys after that. And he probably grew since then anyway.

It's just not that complicated.

LOVE the "Miracle Whip" entitlement!

Notice the shifting argument.

Levis should have played earlier to see what we have.

Now that has become.....I knew he was better all along and anyone who thought otherwise was wrong.

Again... this is bullshit.

Several games ago -some even in preseason - people were calling for Levis because RT was playing awful all year.... and we'll, much longer than just this year.

You weren't wrong for not knowing levis would be this good... you were wrong for thinking Tannehill even belongs in the NFL anymore.

The crap defense in the second half needs to be highlighted.  That's probably what will keep them back along with the OT play.  They almost gave away a game where their qb threw 4 TD passes today.

I think Levis looks like a plus starter at QB like Tannehill.  You start Levis because he’s the future, not because he’s “an elite QB” at this point.

No one has said he is elite...

just that as a Rookie with almost zero practice reps he came out and looked lightyears ahead of our 12 year vet QB that many here tried to claim as "elite" THIS OFFSEASON

Believing that Willis was the two had more to do with Vrabel than it did with Willis. Vrabel seemed very intent in making the whole Willis thing happen. Everyone knew  Willis was God awful and Levis was a way better prospect. Glad to see that I was either wrong or he changed course.

Obviously I’m ecstatic with Levis’s first game but the thing to remember is it was one game. There’s no way we have any idea what he is yet.

The good thing is it’s at least exciting. Hope that he keeps it up and we have QB solved

The place to be is cautiously optimistic.
