For a very long time we were told that no one could look good behind this o line. The pass blocking seemed to be adequate this week for some weird reason... The same - actually worse because Hubbard went out - blockers this past week.....but somehow we could run a good scoring offense against a top 5 pressuring team. A ton of air yards. A lot of rushing yards. hmmmmm....

Popular Post Jamalisms
Not surprising for Tannehill (to most people, at least) but bottom left is a bad place to be ... especially if you think the OL is bad. Of course, anyone with a brain knows this is more about the play design being in drop backs almost exclusively in the pocket while the OL is statistically the worst pass pro unit in obvious passing situations....not to mention some of that pressure has been immediate from the LT. Honestly, I am more worried about him just thinking he can get by with just chucking the ball up when he senses a lot of pressure than actually getting physically broken. We needed those shots and the throws were great besides some placement that could have been better. But if a pick or two had been the result there is absolutely no way we win that game. Crazy to think, the only thing that kept our franchise on shifting it's entire direction for this season and more to come by having a fire sale is the fact that one single team's secondary couldn't track any balls while getting pushed around by DHop (Obvious sarcasm before any idiots get upset) Edited November 2, 2023 by wiscotitansfan pat

The receivers were also wide open by NFL standards, i.e. uncontested.

Lol! Dude.... We were running play-action at a higher rate than any other team in the league with Tannehill. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2023/advanced.htm least pass attempts and 8th in play action attempts. The chart shows he's 4th worst at extending plays and 4th worst at taking sacks when pressured. He's the worst in the league at helping his oline out and it's really not that close. reo

So similar to 3-4 other games this season except the offense got it done with spades last week.
BudsOilers
Always reaffirming when the resident retards laugh at fairly basic, obvious information. All of the mobile guys who "escape pressure" also are top 10 in being the reason for the pressure. Tannehill was 28th in pressure assigned to the QB. Idiots. reo
Jamalisms
Go ahead and take a look at the right side of the chart versus the left and tell me which side has the mobile QBs who you might expect to buy time and how that compares with the axis label. titanruss
3hl just said that Tannehill was pressured 39% of attempts this season Levis was pressured 42% against Atlanta - a top 5 pressures unit. The line might not be great... but Tannehill makes the line look significantly worse than they are.

Looking at the chart in a silo without the context of pass protection quality/how fast the pressure comes is where it falls short. Not to mention how many of the mobile guys are playing in a WCO and/or create their own pressure? Tannehill has always been a structured offense player and the offense is set to drop back in the pocket and throw with a PA boot in there every so often. I can't help it you're dumb. Once again, not all pressure is the same - what we didn't see on Sunday was the Titans exposing Levis to a bunch of high leverage passing situations as they used play action, screens, and boots to get it out quickly. Levis under pressure stats: 13 drop backs: 4 of 11 for 42 yards with 2 sacks. Note the NWI 33 yard TD pass had late pressure on the 1st down PA as he was throwing it. The other pressures? 3 for 10, 9 yards and the 2 sacks. And remember they were 1/11 on 3rd downs > 1 yard.
