tgo
They also ruled on two electoral map challenges recently, throwing both out and making the states redraw in a manner more inclusive to minority districts. They also ruled in favor of the Biden administration on the big immigration case last week. Will the next ruling before the June term ends be to uphold student loan forgiveness? Roberts trying to restore the Court's reputation after the Roe debacle? Omar, and titanruss

They will continuously sue and will be a never ending cycle.

I should have phrased that differently - they always side with state and local government whenever possible while actively sabotaging the federal government. headhunter
rns90
It feels weird to type this but Kavanaugh will probably play the swing vote on closer contested decisions. IsntLifeFunny

I said when he was sworn in that he would likely surprise us after how embarrassed he was on a national scale. rns90

He only joined Thomas’ dissent as to part I of his opinion. That section only dealt with mootness, not the merits of the case. Though, I wouldn’t be surprised if he agrees with the independent state legislature doctrine in some manner, just not what Thomas wrote. Even if a worker's religion is Muslim? Buddhist? Or will those brown guys on your factory line piss you off when you're required to let them pray to Mecca? Good news, now employers legally have to give religious accommodations to members of the Satanic Temple. Thats what you were so happy about, right?
