You wants know how to win over voters? Campaign on raising taxes on the wealthy. You might lose on donations but it’s the voters you need. And the rich people that are turned off by that are mostly voting Republican already.

Now would be the time if there ever was one.

Once again...the Democratic party's "messaging" is hamstrung by it's coalition. The party is made up of wealthy business interest and legitimate socialists. And any lost votes hands the GOP wins.

Look how tight elections have been since 2016. It's a no-win situation for the Democrats to campaign on anything with any passion.

The democratic party is bigger and more diverse than republicans.  That makes it harder to hold together.

You can't win over voters with underfunded campaigns that can't reach voters. It's the ultimate catch-22 in politics.

You’d be surprised. You think Bernie was underfunded?

But we may take a hit by the credit rating agencies again

Yea, there will likely be consequences even without a formal default on treasury bonds, etc.

If bond yields rise, I'll just buy some more T-bills and wait it out.

Kinda been thinking similar.  Problem is with my fleet of young kids and at times chaotic work, you can suddenly slip by doing nothing for weeks.  Heck PM me if you notice the shift.  Been considering some short term t-bill ETFs as well.  Never dealt directly with them before, but feeling like a backstop against potential looming market issues on the horizon.
