Number9
Ran California Hit Man Carthon is in town and he's taking names. You don't want to be around, when Cali Ran comes to town. Miss Amy is looking at opening the new stadium. She saw the 2022 Titans had pooped out @Eagles, she blamed every thing on JRob and looked for someone who could turn this Titans Franchise Team around. She called in Cali R. First, thing you know we start to clean house. This team has to be rebuilt. We'll have to release some good players, some popular players. But this is about 2025-2028, we'll dominate. JRob was laying over his desk dealing with players. That's over. Cali Ran will talk to them and say, look this is what you are worth. If someone pays you more, grab it. We are not loading the team up with second contracts for guys who won't play near their cap when we need money. Money to use during the run. Any player who isn't part of this rebuilt team isn't going to be taking up cap as they decline. Lewan. That bs in over. We pay players who can play on Sundays. Now you have to understand some popular players will have to go. But remember how you signed players from other teams? That's the way it goes. It's just business. I know 'people'. Now, I can't replace an All Pro on the cheap. But I can find real value for right now, to keep the team competitive. Meanwhile, we keep an eye on them to see if one or two are keepers. We go after the best QB available. Not the highest mock draft pick player, but according to our rating on who can play in the league. Next year, we see more than one guy. We need to start getting young when we get that guy-we may have to pay big for a WR, CB or if I see a special edge to add to Simmons. Oh, thank you Cali Ran. I love me some Big Jeff. Number9
It's just business. Cali Ran wasn't brought in to keep the same players. That's why saying keep Tannehill for over a year is crazy talk. He was hired to build a winner. It is doubtful Henry is in the 2024-2025-2026 plan. He would be dumb to just rework all the contracts, spending future cap space. Byard is a tough one, but it seems they want money right now. And truthfully, is Byard going to be worth his salary during those years when we are supposed to see some results. I don't know if anyone remembers Seattle. They lost big time players year after year. AJB was one to keep through a rebuild. Byard's second contract was a big one. Ran says he understands player value. He is supposedly great with finance. He seems to possibly think Byard is not worth a new contract like Byard wants to get.

If he's the GM, he has some kind of vision for the type team and players he wants. We accepted the reality after 2021 and 2022, defenses don't win championships in today's NFL. Ran needs to get a high octane offense going. You do that throwing the football. OC has to get his share of the players and a new offensive style will have to come, imo. The OL we've picked up aren't road graders and are decent players but so far if we need a high octane offense we need some skill players.

We need everything. The Titans have two of the highest paid safeties in the NFL. Is safety the position to lead the league in salary. They have Landry and they are going to pay Simmons. Hooker is a highly paid safety. Where is the team going is they use up future cap doing that. It's a youth movement as well as a rebuild. Lots of people think winning the South is a worthy goal. Miss Amy fired JRob for doing that. Pushing contracts into future years and keeping Lewan who played half the games in two season. JRob didn't even ask him to take a pay cut. You don't win SBs doing that. Daley. We paid millions for Daley/Lewan. Lewan got the money. Daley got the rotten tomatoes.

The OC that orchestrated last years passing attack? Yeah, that's what I think of when I think 'high octane.' Number9

Yeah, that's what I think of when I think 'high octane.' Either they change or go backward. 2019-Tannehill & Henry w/AJB was a high octane attack. 2020-same thing. 2021-Henry went down. 2022-Tannehill went down. You need three or more game changers on offense. Vrabel ran a high octane offense when he had players. This is the beginnings of the next run. Downing is gone. If Kelly doesn't create a higher scoring offense, he is gone too. He has to have talent. Henry is long in the tooth to be the engine of the offense. He has to be satisfied with a different role. No must have X numbers of carries. Like I said earlier, they need WRs who can make plays. Then you build the passing game off him. Our best offensive performance last year 8 different players caught passes. Chig only caught one ball. You have to feed your top receivers. We want a Kelsey, he can't be that if you don't feature him in your offense.

Number9
Paul. The Titans need money. You want to blame JRob for bad contracts, then cry when Ran says we are not operating like that anymore. When JRob was passing out these contracts, where were you then? In 2019, everybody in the NFL world knew that Tannehill's contract was too high. Now, it's biting the team in the ass. Byard is the cleanup costs. Everybody around the NFL knows what is happening. The Titans have to clean up some mistakes. Holding on to Mariota. Holding on to Lewan. Paying NFL top salaries to popular guys. It's just business. Only QBs like Aaron Rodgers last through multiple GMs. If you land one of them, you have to really screw up to lose your job. GMs last an average of two and one half years in the NFL. You better get your team out there winning quick. BudsOilers
