Titans279
5 minutes ago, big2033 said: Isn't Dov Kleiman the guy who takes any and all Twitter info and regurgitates it to his followers? Japan just posted this artivle about him in another thread. He's basically an aggregator, doesn't break his own news. He sometimes paraphrases things incorrectly possibly for more attention. This is probably a relevant exerpt to the Tannehill retiring sentence. There's been speculation he could retire, but I doubt anyone has said "impending". That's probably him changing the wording to sound more definite than I've ever seen it mentioned. “The Packers will not be trading Aaron Rodgers within the NFC Conference. They ‘will explore’ the idea of trading the QB exclusively to the AFC, per Adam Schefter,” Kleiman tweeted. Kleiman presented Schefter’s statement as sourced intel when the NFL insider was presenting an opinion rather than reporting it as fact. Ultimately, Kleiman followed up by posting the video of Schefter’s TV appearance, allowing his followers to decide for themselves. https://nypost.com/2023/03/15/who-is-dov-kleiman-solving-sports-medias-biggest-mystery/ big2033, japan, Aramis, and 1 other

Our "best" players are just average players in the NFL. See anybody dying to get anyone from us? AJB was the ONLY player we had that could command that kind of money, and Simmons. Notice we are keeping him and RT? Face it, the product we had on the field last year was just awful. We lost 7 straight. We were the fucking Lions or Bucs at one time. We are ridding ourselves of baggage, and moving on. Rome wasn't built in a day, but so far I like what RC is doing.

The team is also dealing with the impending retirement of quarterback Ryan Tannehill and the uncertain future of star running back Derrick Henry, who suffered a season-ending injury late in the 2022 season. Titans279
I'll say Tannehill retiring would be a complete bombshell and you're in full rebuild mode then. Can't even go after the competent veteran FAs at this point. I'm afraid to look at what FA are still out there! Thrill, and Mythos27 1

I believe that if things stayed the same he would have retired, but it appears we have a competent GM now that is getting a real team together. I am sure they have talked. I think he stays for two more years, now that he doesn't have to take a beating every week.

If he was going to retire then wouldn’t he have announced by now? Waiting so long puts the team in a major bind.
