Nagy took the job because he was offered the job, but what's crazy is that he took Trubisky to the playoffs twice - amazing. Mythos27

There would be ways to improve the OL and WR rooms in FA and the draft. The improvement of the OL room over this year's mess is not entirely contingent on drafting a LT at pick 11. There are multiple ways to address the OL, starting with a better OL coach. LOL, most of the time talent trumps coaching, especially at LT. There is only so many coaching one can do at do to polish an OT turd. And as noted the WR sucks in FA and I'm assuming another of those high picks will be sent in this effort to trade up. And they are already out of a 4th rounder this year.
Nash
2 points..1)The rumor is that Vrabel really rather have drafted Ridder last year than Willis, and Ridder at least does look like he could be developed , unlike Willis..if anyone has insight into Stroud, it's Vrabel from his buddy Ryan Day..as in what routes does he really like, is he a leader, does he practice or play hurt.. 2) where did Bongo get the idea we would trade Simmons as part of this deal? It seems more likely now to me.. Mythos27

In one of them he was 8-8. I hardly think that counts. Regardless, he didn’t get Trubisky against his will. He could have declined the offer. rns90

Aside from Mahomes, who is an unbelievable talent, there's nothing. Hence I question how ideal he is to develop a QB. I'm sure he, like every OC in the world, can scheme up some easy one read throws for guys....but that's NOT developing, especially if it goes on for years like a Mariota replay. He doesn't get any credit for developing Mahomes? Or being the biggest advocate in the building for trading up for him after working closely with him in the pre draft process? And It doesn't take much to upgrade a WR corp of NWI, Chris Conley, and Cody Hollister. titanskick8851

Add that you would have traded a bunch of 2023 draft capital plus your 2024 #1 so the draft is unlikely to help much....Coaching only does so much when the talent is subpar....Idiot. rns90

I said it doesn't have a ton of great pass blockers. But there are plenty of guys who are average to above average pass blockers and good zone run blockers, which is infinitely better than what we had in that room this year. Especially at LT, most of those guys are taken pretty high. And really, no OL coach would have been able to mold Daley and Brewer into decent starters. Popular Post Jamalisms
I'm not believing this based on that source but Tannehill is a decent, short term option with complications. If you want a guy and to put something together, you go get him. There's basically no amount that's too much if he's actually good and if you get a "good" deal while trading up for a bad QB at #1, it'll end up blowing up in your face anyway. bizzyeddie, flaming_thumbtack, Justafan, and 5 others 7

Deep FA class for LT? Come on. That will also cost money and there will be competition for these guys.
