They can make the grass work well. They can't make the grass work well with what they're doing.

So you are an expert on turf now? Know more than the company supplying it?

Oh no. This might lead to a lot of Titans players getting injured during the season now!!!

I have this in my backyard, and it's pretty good. My kids are constantly injured, but I think its more due to how hard I hit.

Well… it’s all green. So that’s a lot better than our last look at that field.

Amazing that there are people on here that buy that switching to turf will solve the injury issues…

What, it’s going to get worse?

Pretty sure the Titans turf field doesn't have the tire pieces that are the concern for the cancer hypothesis.  Also, all of those links could have been put in one post instead of five.

Yes, replacing the bits of tire with something organic should be much safer. Unless you are allergic to coconut…

How about the grass field had nothing to do with the injuries these past couple of seasons.  And they're switching to a surface that has been shown to cause more injuries.

Our field was in terrible shape at the end of each and every year. You can be sure it led to increased injuries.

That PFT article is garbage and tells nothing of substance.

The notion that every artificial turf from the multitude of companies that produce it should all just be lumped into one blanket category is pretty ignorant. The technology and the research are improving every year. A turf product from 2020 is already considered out of date tech.

I have no idea about injuries on this new surface but I'm confident it won't cause cancer and I have a hard time believing it could be any worse than what the Titans field has been the last few years.  The sloppy surface has been terrible to watch but my uninformed reaction is that it won't have any affect on injuries overall one way or the other.
