Popular Post Number9
There has been excessive shit heaping on our third round pick. The boy didn’t pick himself. I have been posting here over 20 years and I have never seen anything as despicable. It is an embarrassment to the board. It’s an embarrassment to me. It would be different if posters routinely shit on rookies, but that’s just not the case. This has never been done before and It has a strange emotional energy to it. It is time for people to get past treating people differently because of _____. When a group watches it happen and says nothing, it doesn’t say much about them. Go to the Tannehill praise thread after the GB game. Why the hell would that be the time to attack Willis. WTF did he have to do with the celebration. I’m a boomer. I remember the way people said It doesn’t have anything to do with that, you are taking it the wrong way. But when you look at the actual truth, the bullshit doesn’t stand up to scrutiny. Not one Titans rookie ever has been trashed like him. When you tar and feather a player who didn’t even play in a game who you were told is a project, it smells bad. So, I will be whatever ever you say. But I WILL NOT BE QUIET ABOUT IT. This is why I talk about being a stand up guy. I risked my life many times in the 1960’s to stand against the type shit. I looked into the barrels of a double gage shotgun held by a Metro Sargent at 1am in the morning on a deserted street. I was afraid, but I continued on for years active in the struggle. So young black men could have the same chance as any American. It is just wrong. If I am attacked for living my truth, so be it. But when you attack me, give some examples of how other players have received this same treatment. A rookie getting his chance. I like the people here, including my two friends. But some things are bigger than like. I tried to do this by presenting film where knowledgeable football analyst didn't trash him. That did not work. Popular Post IrishTitansFan
Well when Tannehill is bashed nationally all offseason, Willis is hailed as being the starter in waiting and many are calling for Tannehills job, Willis then goes in and isn't even 1/100th of the QB Tannehill is, you can understand why people rail against that JT2000, Thrill, IowaOiler, and 4 others
Dinx81
2022 3-69 Nicholas Petit-Frere OT 2021 3-92 Monty Rice LB 3-100 Elijah Molden CB 2020 3-93 Darrynton Evans RB 2019 3-82 Nate Davis G 2018 (No 3rd round picks) 2017 3-72 Taywan Taylor WR 2016 3-64 Kevin Byard S 2015 3-66 Jeremiah Poutasi OT 2014 (No 3rd Round Picks) 2013 3-70 Blidi Wreh-Wilson CB 3-97 Zaviar Gooden OLB Willis is playing the most important position in the game. Almost every mock draft had him going somewhere in round one. He was in the green room expecting to be drafted. So it’s easy to say although he did go in the third everyone expected first round potential. I do recall Blidi Wreh-Wilson and Poutasi getting shit on quite a bit around here but obviously they aren’t quarterbacks and didn’t have first round expectations. Not to mention Willis pretty much deserves the shit he’s being served due to his overall play. flaming_thumbtack

Starkiller
Willis is a terrible QB. I’m still open to seeing if he can develop under NFL coaching to improve his mechanics in a year or 2, but for now he isn't ready for the NFL. He also has a 41 passer rating and an unreal sack rate, 3rd down conversion rate laughably low.
Popular Post OILERMAN
I was listening to Football and other F words yesterday with Herndon and the other guy. They basically start making fun of teams scouting QBs because Zack Wilson was a top pick and Willis was drafted way down in the 3rd round. Herndon reeled it back in and said Willis still had some work to do or something along those lines. Just LOL, WTF are they talking about? How do you watch the two Willis starts and be this delusional. japan, kgsTitan, Thrill, and 4 others
Fitz
18 rushing attempts for 64 yards and 2 fumbles lost..... That's 3.6 YPC and higher than 10% fumble rate... Edited November 24, 2022 by Fitz OILERMAN, and rns90
Popular Post StephenIsLegend
He sucks. Nowhere near as good as Tannehill is. I was actually somewhat excited for him when he was getting the start because I was wanting to see his athleticism. He isn’t nearly the athlete he was claimed to be and his running ability doesn’t make up for his arm. I do love his arm talent but he isn’t very accurate either. I hope you know all you’re doing is inviting more shitting on him in this thread. And I’ll add an “lol” at Rass. Dude’s a dummy. Tannehill is leagues better than Willis at this point and you are just showing your ass. Get back to your fake schoolwork. Supdawg
No reason to get bent out of shape about it. Ideally, you would like your rookies to flash either traits or plays that gives you a glimpse into their future potential, but honestly very few have been seen. I personally think there is a greater than 60% probability that we have already seen enough from him to infer that he doesn't have the requisites needed to be a starting level NFL-QB, which by definition, makes him a bust to many people already. JROB has a pretty good track record for 3rd round picks, which most people believe he was a wasted pick. Most of us here have been watching the NFL for decades and can usually spot intuitively which rookies will be good and which ones will not be good. It's nothing personal, it has nothing to do with his skin color. Its about his on the field play, and until he gets an opportunity and actually does something with it, the expectations for most of us is literally nothing.
