Shudak is back off PUP

If you want to say they didn’t think there was anyone  available at all that could challenge Kern previous years then that’s fine but still a completely different point being made.

They obviously try to bring in their highest rated guys scouted to be those camp bodies when it comes to bringing in an extra leg no matter the current or future situation

Settling for FGs = losing strategy

Of course that's not what people have said and your inability to grasp the details that matter when trying to blame someone is why it's far more nuanced than you want to admit.  You wanted to ride Rob

Hopefully Shudak shows enough to supplant Bullock long term.    Bullock is an overpaid mediocre patchwork solution at the position.

The point is that you can't name them exactly because they were just camp bodies, whereas this guy was brought in and it was clear from day one he was challenging for the position. And that's because our former punter had started to fall off last year.

It was an actual camp battle and not just a body.

So what are you complaining about. We brought Shudak in to push Fat Randy. He looked good then got hurt. So we’ve gone with the solid Fat Randy. If Shudak is good in real games then we get rid of Fat Randy…

He already stated that he would complain about Jrobs methodology until the position was above average and then he would no longer complain about said methodology.

Jrobs strategy sucks now because kicking sucks, but once that strategy yields a kicker above average that strategy no longer is a problem.

If the Titans need Shudak for this game, will they have to sign him to the active roster since he was on the PUP list?  They can't just put him on the practice squad and use an elevation for him without releasing him first and hoping someone else doesn't claim him, correct?

Somebody better shoot a text to Robinson. Guys probably drunk off his ass right now on Percy Priest lake….

And if you think you answered my questions, you may be even drunker.

Correct. To come off PUP you go on the active roster.

Correct. If at any point the Titans eventually stumble into a kicker worth a damn, kicker won't be a problem anymore. Obviously, that won't change the past but it will remove the problem moving forward. Yes. That's factually how roster holes work.

I still don’t understand the whole punter part of this conversation… we’ve done more at the kicker position to attempt to alleviate the problem than the one that we just upgraded to one of the best in the league from our prior great punter

I don’t think JRob got the memo that this upcoming offseason he needs to bring in someone he actually thinks is good compared to just a camp body

This guy Shudak was brought in to see what he had and push the current kicker like every other rookie kicker and he had the goods. That’s how you find kickers. You only really bring in the vet guys floating around as FAs during the season if a kicker goes down.

I always liked Shudak when he played for the Hawkeyes.  He has some swagger for a kicker.

Yeah. I just don’t get the original purpose of bringing punters into the conversation as some gotcha or something.

Just like all kickers/punters, we bring in camp legs that are likely UDFAs and if they happen to be great then it becomes a real competition…. It’s not like how Jamal tried insinuating that they were preemptively taking care of the position this year because they were expecting some decline from Kern. We just happened to land a helluva UDFA that unseated an already great player

Jamal seems to think there are all these good vets sitting on the sidelines and Robinson is just too cheap to pay them…
