Jas
OK. Now TD says it was an autocorrect issue and he meant to type that it isn't all on the OL. Number9, TheBukafax, OILERMAN, and 1 other 2

It wouldn't surprise me if he did say something similar to the caption at some point but it sure as fuck wasn't in the video If one interprets his use of "get the run started" to mean " the OL actually blocking someone" then I could see that but he doesn't say that. He's focused on Henry and what Henry needs to do. Good coaching. RBs and their coaches are usually very diplomatic when even alluding to OL issues. Last thing you want as a back is for your blockers to think you're calling them out.

Certainly makes more sense that way, considering the sentence afterwards. wiscotitansfan

There's no way that we ran on only 37% of first downs, my man. Sharpe's numbers put us at 61% run which is a lot more believable. Furthermore, Baltimore is basically 49% pass:51% run and Indy is 54% pass:46% run when you look at plays where teams would be running their normal offenses. I looked at Quarters 1, 2, 3 (so not trying to run clock) and put the score margin at -7 to +7 (one score games) and looked at the middle of the field (20 yard line to 20 yard line) so that we don't get obscured by being backed up in your own endzone or in the redzone to get these numbers. Broke my own rule but I couldn't resist pointing out that you didn't even link to the right stat. It's crazy how confident you are while lacking even basic understanding of that you're arguing about. Oh shit really? LOL. Well ain't that egg on my face. I'll take the L on that one. Either way, I'm off this forum for a while as it's become a place of selectively picking out stats to maintain a narrative while the obvious answers, the ACTIONS, are staring us in the face. Nobody really wants to debate anymore. It's "accept my analytics, or you're stupid, and the coaches are stupid, and the players are stupid, and the owners are stupid. Which wasn't what this place was when I got here. We know how this 'era' will end, but I'm sure this forum make a million excuses and point a million fingers before it's over. nine
The Titans obviously had a tremendously successful offensive formula in 2019 - 2020. This philosophy remained very productive in 2021 until the offense was completely decimated by injuries. But even the most consistently successful and productive strategies have vulnerabilities....which are eventually identified and exploited by opponents. Coaches who refuse to adjust or adapt eventually find their teams losing more and more....until the coach is eventually fired. I think Vrabel is an excellent coach with an incredible knowledge and understanding of the game. But with his personality, I could absolutely see Vrabel being one of those coaches who refuses to tweak his philosophy and who might be too headstrong and stubborn to recognize when opponents have figured him out. The current streak of relatively low-scoring games and second-half collapses clearly indicate that some sort of adjustment is needed. The rest of this year will show us whether Vrabel is able to recognize and make those adjustments....or if he's one of those coaches who refuses to adapt.
