Put up the numbers. Tannehill vs other top NFL QBs Henry vs other top NFL RBs It's ridiculous to be talking about Henry's salary. He's our Marque Player. MNF Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills vs Derick Henry and the Tennessee Titans. We don't ever want to pay the player shit. BS talking about what HENRY makes. It's just bs to throw into the conversation. I'm done. I showed an actual source to find out the truth. That's all I can add.

The cap is part of the game. Henry is making peanuts. He's counting 10 mill against this years cap. Yes that's too much, it would be 16 mill next season but he ain't getting that

StephenIsLegend
He still has a chance to get going, as we are just now entering week 3. So far it’s not looking good, but he IS a slow starter. And everyone is already aware of his deficiencies. He is a 2-down back.

Number9
https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/tennessee-titans/derrick-henry-18994/cash-earnings/ Henry made 2M in 2019. You think his agent just walked into Titans HQ and said. "I want you to pay Derrick." The Titans, astonished he would ask for more money yelled, "WHAT THE FUCK FOR?" "He wants to buy a new truck." "Aw Shuchs, why didn't you just say that. Here you go. Plus, we'll throw in some more years, just in case he wants a new truck every year."

He has never looked particularly quick due to his size, and he doesn't even have the opportunity to build up speed with the line. There is a real chance he is washed, but it's hard to say that with the line and playcalling playing such big roles.

I want to see somebody bounce off the ground and. catch him when he stiffarms them. You know he's waiting to get somebody.
Mythos27
Jesus Christ, aiming for the RB's lower body rather than his torso is a staple on modern tackling and not unique to Henry at all especially among secondary players. What 200 lb corner is going to take on a 260 lb back up high? How do DBs and smaller LBs tackle TEs? Y'all will make anything into a "thing". titanruss, flaming_thumbtack, Number9, and 1 other

He cannot step out of a tackle because he is not built that way. Did you watch Chubb do jump cuts last night? As I’ve pointed out before….this was one of the most common criticisms of Henry back in 2017-2018, before he established himself as one of the premier running backs of this generation. I’m not saying there’s no validity whatsoever to the argument…..but the fact is, Henry has been the most consistently productive and universally respected running back in the league over the past 3-4 years. He has a couple bad games and suddenly we’re rehashing the exact same argument from 4-5 years ago as if it’s some groundbreaking new observation? tgo

He's always been the same type of back, with the same strengths and weaknesses. Sure, he got better at playing his position as ALL players do compared to their first few years but he's always been the Derrick Henry that people weren't sure could make it in the NFL. When shit isn't good around him, he looks terrible and people ask "What's wrong with Henry"? He looks worse than most when he has bad blocking and better than anyone else when he has good blocking. This shit ain't hard, people are just stubborn. We have the same stupid conversation at the beginning of every year, The only new wrinkle is that now he's older and everyone has convinced themselves he's going to fall off a cliff any day now so everyone's assessment of him is colored by looking for any signs of slowing down on every snap. He's getting hit behind the LOS 50% of the time. Occam's razor please. Edited September 23, 2022 by Mythos27 Number9
nine
So after 199 yards rushing, 2 TDs, and 91 yards receiving in the past two games.... I assume everyone is still in agreement that Henry is completely washed up and ready to be put out to pasture? freakingeek, Number9, Mythos27, and 1 other 2
