Potential new stadium would be ready for the 2026 season

I'm rooting for the team regardless.  I could care less where they play.  It would be hilarious to see the meltdown on here though if the city botches the new stadium funding.  If the residents don't want to build a new stadium, another city damn sure will.

Sorry Bud, we're not Houston.

As I hear it, the state of Tn is in for 1/3 of the cost, and part of the plan is to level TPAC, move it to this new complex.. the state will then build a series of high rises on the tpac property

Why would they move TPAC over there? It’s in a great spot.

LOL if the city botches this as the Titans just admitted that the current stadium isn't up to NFL standards......I'm sure St. Louis or San Antonio would love the team!

I would really enjoy such an outcome.

Keep clutching you Columbia blue crying cloth, the San Antonio Oilers aint never happening.

TPAC is also weirdly in debt like 300 million for maintenance stuff .... or at least thats the story the Nashville Gov is trying to put out.

Pretty convenient if you ask me.

I mean I can see it. I guess. But that’s a ton of debt for TPAC.

Money.

If they can sell the property to developers for lots of money and move TPAC somewhere cheaper (with lots of dedicated parking for events) and save some money then why not?

That’s fair. I like TPAC and it’s present location, but agree it’s a bitch to park there.

The property is literally across the street from the capitol, and the building has much needed upgrades and maintenance to be done.. roughly the states contribution will be 400 million , with the new facility , maybe a little more.. the repairs are 300 plus million.. the tapas property can be leased for the rest of the money

I already said I don’t care where they play.  St. Louis would be awesome!  Again the funny part would be seeing the Meltdown on here ????

Btw, I’ve heard nothing of this tpac idea. Would seem odd to have a stadium right next to a state capitol building.  I have serious doubts about that one.

TPAC just leases space from the state. The building they currently rent from can be sold for 100s of millions, but they (the state of TN) would need to find another space for TPAC to lease. It makes total sense to create an entertainment district around a riverfront sports stadium and have a state/city run arts organization as a long term tenant.
