begooode
Yikes. Perhaps that audit should happen sooner rather than later? Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky issued a decree Sunday removing the commander of the military’s Joint Forces Operation (JFO), which is involved in the ongoing counteroffensive in the eastern Donbas region of the country. Zelensky announced Eduard Moskalyov’s dismissal in a one-line decree without any explanation, according to Reuters. Moskalyov had been appointed to the position last March. The JFO was launched as a resistance force in 2014 after Russia’s seizure of the Crimean peninsula and parts of the Donbas, and has been heavily involved in fighting since Moscow’s full invasion a year ago. Moskalyov’s dismissal is the latest in a series of changes to Ukraine’s military amid a corruption scandal that nearly ousted Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov. Reznikov remains in office, and earlier this month appointed three new deputies. It’s not clear if Moskalyov’s dismissal was connected to corruption fallout. https://thehill.com/policy/international/3875064-zelensky-sacks-commander-of-ukraines-joint-forces/

begooode
In a new blueprint for military support to Ukraine, the European Union will propose that €1 billion should be specifically dedicated to ammunition, particularly 155mm artillery shells, according to a document seen by POLITICO. The EU is helping supply Ukraine with arms through an off-budget, inter-governmental cash pot called the European Peace Facility, which is used to reimburse countries that export arms to Ukraine. So far, the facility has disbursed €3.6 billion in military aid to Ukraine, with member countries deciding last December to increase its funding by €2 billion in 2023. To date, the spending needs have been loosely defined but the EU is now placing heavy emphasis on artillery ammunition — as Ukrainian forces are locked in attritional howitzer battles with the Russians in the east, around towns such as Bakhmut. reo
Oligarch Warns Russia May Run Out of Money in 2024 March 2, 2023 at 10:04 am EST By Taegan Goddard 109 Comments Billionaire Oleg Deripaska said Russia could find its coffers empty already next year and needs investment from “friendly” countries to break the hold of sanctions on the economy, Bloomberg reports. Said Deripaska: “There will be no money already next year. We will need foreign investors.” https://politicalwire.com/2023/03/02/oligarch-warns-russia-may-run-out-of-money-in-2024/ he's being optimistic for the sake of politics. At this rate, they'll be broke by the end of the year. As a side note, why do you think Russia has been killing all these oligarchs? They're taking all their money. TF_Titan
We need to start coming down on countries like India and South Africa, which have essentially sided with Russia. Obviously China has too and there needs to be repercussions for that, but China is obviously more complicated. Life for the average Russian citizen hasn't been affected much by the invasion and that needs to change. The screws need to be turned tighter by pushing these other countries to get with the program. Russia is burning through cash reserves to try and shield their people from feeling it especially those in Moscow. Only time will change that as they go broke. begooode

Sure, but when countries like India continue to buy their oil in large quantities it buys Russia more time and ultimately prolongs the war, and delays only help Russia.
