I aint shaking that guys hand They said he was a Ukrainian-Canadian, not a German. Regardless, anyone who fought as a Ukranian nationalist in WW2 was bound to have some sort of ties to the Nazis simply because they were on the same side against the Soviets. I aint shaking that guys hand I hear you, and not to pile on, BUT, while being very concerned about the messaging of Ukrainian Nazification that Prigozhin already eviscerated quite publicly as a false pretense for the invasion, shouldn't the Russian people be at least slightly cognizant that Putin's best fighting force actually was named after German excellence, Wagner, and operationally led by a guy tatted up with symbols of Hitler's Third Reich? begooode
Good long article on the impacts of drones changing the economics of Putin's war ...Faced with these challenges, the leader of an elite drone squad called the Asgard Group, which oversees Giocondo’s unit, sensed an opportunity. The leader, a wealthy former businessman who goes by the name Pharmacist on the battlefield, directed his soldiers to begin targeting Russia’s large and expensive weaponry with small and inexpensive drones. The logic was simple, Pharmacist says: Exploding drones cost roughly $400 to make, while a conventional projectile can cost nearly 10 times as much. Even if it requires multiple drones to take out a tank — and sometimes it does — it is still worth it. The strategy had the additional benefit of putting fewer soldiers’ lives at risk. But first they had to modify commercial drones with hardware and software to suit the battlefield, enabling them to penetrate deeper behind enemy lines without being detected or jammed. A breakthrough came through the clever use of several drones in unison. A Ukrainian commander who goes by the battlefield name Giocondo looks at an attack drone in the outskirts of Kremmina, Ukraine, Sunday, Aug. 20, 2023. The drone unit’s task is to destroy Russia’s heavy machinery, armored vehicles and infantry. The drone unit’s task is to destroy Russia’s heavy machinery, armored vehicles and infantry. (AP Photo/Bram Janssen) With his entrepreneurial spirit, Pharmacist helped turn a ragtag group of engineers, corporate managers and filmmakers into an elite fighting force. He estimates that his 12-man team, assembled with just $700,000, has destroyed $80 million worth of enemy equipment... https://apnews.com/article/drones-ukraine-war-russia-innovation-technology-589f1fc0e0db007ea6d344b197207212 reo, and Starkiller
