I remember seeing a note about Meet the press during Obama's 2nd term(off memory).

Pelosi wasn't invited on the show once, Newt Gingtrich was on the show 7 times.

LOL

Chuck Todd is obviously a Republican. It was clear during Obama's 2nd term and the 2016 election.

This thread is way off base. the Main Stream media clearly leans left aside from Foxnews. What we are seeing lately in media is an overcorrection for being perceived as too far left during the Trump years and an exposure of how much groupthink there is when it comes to reporting on Military matters like the Afghanistan withdrawal.

It is your dumb fuck side that discourages getting the vaccine. Man up and deal with it.

it was Biden and Harris that sowed seeds of distrust early on with the vaccine.   And anything that has come from the right has nothing to do with all the blacks that refuse to get it.   Try again with your bs narrative.

not this bullshit again. All Harris said is that she wouldn't take a vaccine just because Trump told her to. She would want to hear what the public health experts had to say about the vaccines. As usual you are so easily manipulated by the little right wing bubble you live in.

There's a strong element of that also but centering Republican viewpoints has been an issue for a long time. I first noticed it during the Clinton years when they chased every concocted scandal about Clinton or other Democrats like they were on the damn RNC payroll... but never did the same for Republicans. Hardly any mainstream outlets made a big deal out of the Bush's business dealings with the Saudi's prior to 9/11, and they all guzzled down the WMD kool aid with no skepticism whatsoever.

it’s all a matter of the subject.

In the political sphere, the mainstream is falling all over themselves to give conservatives airtime. They are so busy trying to defend themselves from charges of being the “liberal media” that they constantly give a platform to the right and far right. Hell, Trump got elected because they spent the entirety of the 2016 election giving Trump almost all of their airtime. The only time Hillary came up at all was to talk about her email or nearly passing out at a 9/11 ceremony. As mentioned above, Meet The Press constantly brings on conservatives over liberals.

If we are talking about economic policy, the “liberal media” isn’t very liberal. Sure, they cover economic inequality, but they aren’t out there pushing for higher taxes. It’s way more about the stock market than anything else. Shit, they are owned by Comcast, Disney, and AT&T. It’s corporate driven.

The mainstream media is pretty left leaning on social issues. But what does that mean? They don’t discriminate against gays, women, blacks, or other minorities. They report the truth about global warming. They report the facts about a global pandemic and don’t pretend that a horse dewormer is a miracle cure. To mainstreamed Republicans, these are far left views because Republicans are largely crazy and bigoted. Yeah, there are times that the media “celebrates diversity” a little too much, but is this really close to being an opposite image to what you see on conservative media?

It's a shift because of viewership and advertising.  The networks plus CNN and MSNBC all have been proven to be left leaning.  Fox News has shifted a little from their far right Trumpy stance hence Newsmax and the other one are for the far right nutjobs.

On July 28, Biden questioned whether a vaccine would be real and whether there would be a consensus that “this is a safe vaccine.”

Biden also demanded that new principles of integrity needed to be adopted in order for Americans to have confidence in the vaccine, suggesting the FDA was not operating independently.

On August 6, Biden claimed “if and when the vaccine comes, it’s not likely to go through all the tests … and trials that are needed to be done.”

The week before, Dr. Anthony Fauci testified before Congress it was “absolutely not the case” that there was “compromising of safety and scientific integrity” in vaccine development.

On September 2, Biden said “who’s going to take the shot? Are you going to be the first one to say sign me up?

On September 5, Kamala Harris cast doubt on the safety of the vaccines being developed, refusing to say she would take a vaccine that was approved before election day.   Question: “Let’s just say there’s a vaccine that is approved and even distributed before the election. Would you get it?” Harris: “I think that’s going to be an issue for all of us.”

Biden campaign spokeswoman Symone Sanders refused to answer whether Biden would take a coronavirus vaccine when it was available.  Sanders refused to say Biden would support a vaccine before election day, even if it received FDA approval.

On September 7, Biden again cast doubt on the vaccine, saying he would take it “only if” experts outside the government examined it.

On September 16, Biden said the American people “should not have confidence” in the vaccine unless it met his campaign’s criteria for efficacy.

Biden questioned the widespread availability of the vaccine, saying “even if we get a vaccine, it will not be available for most of population until well into 2021.”

In late September, Biden campaign advisor Vivek Murthy questioned whether a vaccine would be “safe for distribution,” even if it was approved by the FDA.

I think they shouldn't have said that but also think it's silly to suggest that Biden and Harris saying that is what led to Republicans not taking the vaccine.

Desantis standing by as a speaker said the vaccines change your RNA (nonsense) recently was much worse.
