When you see your stomach do the roll into something that resembles an old woman’s ass you should likely not be giving others advice about health treatment when you don’t have a medical license. I know some fat doctors, but they have a medical license, so hey they at least know they’re hypocrites. rns90, and oldschool

Mythos27
I knew that the spirit of goodwill and community wouldn't last. How dysfunctional is it that I see this as a TR feature rather than a bug? All the atheists start feeling pangs of guilty rage (or raging guilt?) and all the Duddly Do-Righters start feeling their Sunday school roots thinking their one prayer is going to be the one that tips the balance and makes god suddenly give more of a fuck than he already did/didn't. Then every body starts acting like a bunch of long tailed cats in a room full of rocking chairs. It's the spice of life. Stranger
Popular Post LabRat
Hi Stan. I'm so sorry to hear that but it's great news that they caught it early!!! I'm a LONG time lurker, but also happen to be an honest to goodness cancer biologist/scientist. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions I can help answer. Full disclosure my specialty is in the colon and not stomach/gastric, but if I don't know the answer there's some great gastric labs across the hall. Also, I wouldn't read too much into what other folks have suggested on the vitamin D/circadian rhythm front. Kudos on the lit search though! But nothing published in that particular journal (CMGH) is ready for the clinic, it was specifically established for well-done basic science/pre-clinical studies that MDs have little interest in. Plus the ApcMin mouse isn't even a great model for the cancer it's supposed to be (colon cancer), and has next to no relevance to stomach cancer. On the Vitamin D front there's been hope, but not much that has shaken out in actual clinical studies, and most of those studies focus on cancer risk/development and not how it may influence established tumors. PLEASE discuss any supplements you consider with your oncologist. For example, antioxidant supplementation is more likely to have harmful than protective effects once cancer is developed, but that doesn't stop folks from taking them thinking they are doing a good thing. Best of luck and sending lots of good thoughts your way! Edited September 24, 2021 by LabRat OzTitan, CreepingDeath, WG53, and 6 others 7
