No, some Democrats just refuse to be rational about eliminating the filibuster to get shit done

You never blame the voters ever. A voting rights bill wouldn't impact redistricting at the state level all that much and would be challenged by Red States as an attack o. States rights. While dems bicker about voting rights, the GOP is locking in gerrymandered districts at an insane clip. Only way to fight it is to win local elections.

I saw a couple blurbs that the data shows that Georgia is now only 50.1% white.    America as a whole is 58% white, 19% Hispanic, 12% black, and 11% Asian/Other.    Get ready to be

there is a theory floating around that the numbers are artificial due to Trump supporters not wanting to answer the census. it will be interesting to see if that is true or not.

I'm not a fight fire with fire guy but NY dems should absolutely do this.

Leahy is retiring from the Senate as well, I'm sure everyone saw. A lot of party elders walking away - knowing what the environment will be like under GOP House control.

holy shit thats a big deal. I read something the other day that I hadn't really wrapped my head around.... The Democratic majority and the ability to pass anything in the Senate is one heartbeat away from being gone. The idea they can fuck around and not have any urgency to pass BBB, get judges confirmed, etc.... is fallacy.

I hope Eric Adams runs for the Dem primary in 2024. If not him, then someone with a similar message.

That's the direction and message the party needs to trend toward in order to win.

Might want to wait and see how he does in office first…

My concern now is steering things toward the right message to win in 2024, but yes. I can't imagine that he will do some terrible job.

Going into the the primaries in 24 Biden needs to announce he only took on the role to bring some sensibility back to the country. He should then laud his achievements and do his best to gracefully step down.

He won’t beat Trump again, or really any other GOP candidate. Neither will Harris.

/Trump needs to just go away... but he won't., unfortunately. De Santis would eat alive any Democrat nominee.

The GOP has to have Trump and his crazy ass cult followers. Without Trump I don't think the Republicans would have much voting interest. Admittedly there wouldn't be as much on the left/center either considering a ton of people are embarrassed enough by him to vote against him.

There is a reason the prominent Republicans kiss his ass no matter what he says about them

The hard core base of either party are needed and hated by their opposites. They usually are somewhat ignored after an election though again, perception from one’s side and the opposite side are often different. And in an election, one takes any vote even if they come from Cori Bush or Gomert assholes….

This wasn't true in VA at all. The Trump voters came out in droves and Independent/moderate swing voters went for Youngkin. The blueprint is there for others to follow if they are willing to do so.

Eric Adams is a very smart politician.  He is also very weird.
