Only half of NFL teams have 51 or more of their players that are vaccinated? That's absurd.

One of the most unfortunate lessons we’ve learned from this pandemic is that no area is safe.

At the beginning of the pandemic, many  people were convinced that the virus posed little threat to rural areas….it was only happening in large cities with high population density.   Of course this was  completely false…and when it finally hit those areas, it struck with a vengeance.

Tennessee might not be at the top of the list today…but we’re directly adjacent to some of the worst hotspots in the US.  Pretending it’s not an imminent threat is just as misguided and foolhardy now as it was a year ago.

The question is whether people choose  to take precautions and preventative measures to protect themselves now….or wait until it’s too late and face the fallout.

96% of all practicing physicians have been vaccinated.. what do we know that you don't know ?? you don't want to be on a ventilator your last few weeks of life without your family and loved ones being

The vaccine needs to be mandatory where the government has the authority to enforce it.  If you want to fly, show proof of vaccination.  If you want to teach where public money is involved, get vaccin

The lesson of the last few year is that it takes only a moment to post a lie or some conspiracy theory, but it takes 10 times that to refute it.  You can never keep up.  We just had an entire Presiden

The people at Vanderbilt have figured out over the first 3 waves that we are always lagging behind Florida by approximately 2 weeks. So, end of next week or so we’ll see a spike. They said it’s been like clockwork all 3 times.

Do you have some sort of clinical depression that needs diagnosing? Why do you wish ill upon others who don’t agree with your opinions? Man, I feel sorry for you. You must go through some very difficult days. Get well.

People essentially going out of their way to potentially be burdens on society and then actually becoming one, then someone not sympathizing with you is hardly a "wishing ill on others". Next time try a little harder when you play the victim.... will that be later today or tomorrow?

So what about people who smoke? Or do hard drugs and are on the streets? Or people on food stamps? All these are people who are a burden to society. Do you wish ill will and death on these people?

There is an irony in people fighting tooth and nail to block cheap public healthcare, only to then be hospitalized and financially ruined by a pandemic.  Hate to see it.

That goes for a lot of people on the "left" as well. Both sides are guilty of standing in the way of public healthcare because they're too busy fellating the healthcare industry and big pharma.

Just because some people want private insurance as an option doesn't mean they're shilling for the healthcare industry and big pharma. Single payer is a full government takeover of the entire industry and effectively eliminates private health insurance as a market staple.

Point to where he "wished ill" on them. Not feeling sympathy for someone is not the same as wishing ill on them. You can't choose to behave recklessly and then play the victim when you suffer the natural consequences of your actions and people don't feel bad for you. You brought it upon yourself.

And for what it's worth the burdens you refer to aren't a good comparison because the solution for the unvaccinated is extremely fast, efficient, and free. It will take people who struggle with addiction/poverty years of hard work and will power to overcome their current state. It would take the average unvaccinated person a 15 minute appointment and is completely free. The situations aren't remotely comparable. Getting vaccinated isn't some enormous, onerous sacrifice. It just feels that way to many people because they've bought into the stupid anti-vax propaganda.

And it takes NOTHING to never start drugs or smoke.

How do you respond to my post of not sympathizing with people as a direct example of not wishing ill on someone and equate that to me saying I am wishing that on people? It’s fascinating how hard you try with something so simple to grasp

Hence not feeling sorry for those people that develop ailments specifically because their own actions

once people are addicted though the solution becomes a lot more complicated than just a 20 min walgreen trip where anti-vaxxers are throwing fits for something so simple and proven to help society

Sure, but we can't change their past. We can help change their future but it will take significantly more time/effort. We CAN change the present/future of the unvaccinated and the impact they might have IMMEDIATELY. So like I said, the situations aren't comparable and your deflections aren't working. It taking nothing to never start drugs doesn't negate what I said about how easy it is to be vaccinated.  If you want to start a new conversation about why people get into drugs then start a new thread and we can discuss it but don't deflect from the issue at hand. Getting vaccinated is an easy and VERY speedy process and if you are unvaccinated and become seriously ill or die from covid you completely brought it on yourself. You behaved recklessly despite knowing better and the natural consequences happened. I don't wish it upon anyone but I don't feel bad for anyone that dies from it. How the people who want everyone to be safe and healthy have become the boogeyman to people like you I'll never understand.
