I like Brown but its way too early to assume he's get resigned based on how he played last year. He needs to show last year was an anomaly.

I don think either one gets resigned if Brown plays like he did in 2019. ILB is a big need and I don´t know if Rice or Long are up to the task. We´ll see.

We all knew Evans wasn’t getting the 5th year option.    He has always stood out on the goal line, but otherwise he has been a disappointment. If they want to get something out of him, use him

He was solid in 2019. He wasn’t great, but he definitely wasn’t a massive liability like he was every single game last year. He also showed up in big spots in the 2 playoff wins.    You’re righ

He gone.

Well, there isn’t going to be any Corey David type of year, but he could get some sacks as a pass rush specialist and actually have some value.

I always thought they should try more of this.

I’m not sure what happened at the start of the season. He looked like he had lead in his shoes. By the Steelers game Jayon was back flying around; the 4 or so games before the injury he was playing really well. If he gets back to playing like that I think we’ll re-sign him to a reasonable 3 year deal.

He has been mis-cast in his role and suffers from a disjointed coaching staff. Hopefully Rice will allow them the ability to use Evans to rush and unleash his good downhill skill-set. I swear the coaching on this team went to shit the second Vrabel decided to meddle.

Long is one of those guys that some other team will overpay to come be a starter and the Titans will let walk.  I like him as a player and I think he's done well but unless he has a breakout year I don't think he'll have a long term future here.

Brown, I absolutely think they would like to keep if they can.  He's a good coverage LB and those are much harder to find than the thumpers.

I'm starting to think he doesn't come into the season in shape. Early last season, he looked a lot like he did his first few games of his rookie season where he missed a lot of time with the hammy. I remember he looked like his had a load in his diaper. Then as he played himself into shape, he got much better. There is no way he is out there prepping for the season like Derrick Henry. Jayon is a good player but after 4 seasons in the NFL he's still a flabby little pudge himself. I don't know how you could go hard in an NFL weight/diet program for 4 years and still look like that when average Joes transform their bodies with much fewer resources at their disposal.

I’ve noticed this as well, not so much in year 2 when he really came on, but certainly his rookie year and last year. He has natural speed for a guy his size, but you’re right that he doesn’t seem like a big workout guy.

On a side note, I still can’t believe that bastard Raven didn’t get suspended for that clip. It was totally unnecessary, away from the play, and it cost Jayon a lot of money this year. Dirty fucks.

I think Long would be fine as a 2 down LB but he's not an every down player

How long have people been hyping Long as a starter. I’m afraid he’s just a good backup player.
