He could be relegated to only watching video for all we know; he was going to take a year off, doubt he's signing up for a huge role involving 60 hour work weeks. I wouldn’t go this far. His official title has been made as Senior Defensive Consultant/Assistant.

I put the / because it was one or the other (assistant mainly) but the Senior Defensive part is the one that matters the most in my opinion. IsntLifeFunny
I’ve heard the Nashville media bickering and taking credit for whatever, but the fact is he was hired to do what they wanted Pees for. I like the Schwartz scheme much more than the Pees scheme for this front four. SuperFreak90
Lantern
I will never forget Schwartz hanging out by the fans during training camp, making himself available to talk "ball". Great move by the franchise. Years ago, I attended every public practice from like 2000-2007, indeed long ago. Downtown
This is a band-aid for a gaping stab-wound. That wound is Vrabel and this won’t stop our defense from bleeding-out. IowaOiler
Number9
I don’t think where JS lives has a great deal of bearing on his role. japan
NFL2K5
The heck is a senior assistant? And Senior assistant to what? Titans just make up positions lol. And I know he won't have his hands to much on the defense will he? As I thought he was more of a 4-3 guy.

Nash
Remember what Vrabel said after the hire- that the defense would be multiple up front and constant in the back end.. so has that changed? Does constant in the back mean press man? Does multiple up front mean blitzes or varying between 4 or 5 rushing?

Does constant in the back mean press man? Does multiple up front mean blitzes or varying between 4 or 5 rushing? Multiple fronts = 3/4/5 DL alignments, with simulated pressures - e.g. rushing the nickel and dropping the 5T into coverage or rushing a safety and dropping the OLB. Or moving an OLB inside to rush the A gap. Edited April 8 by tgo

"Schwartz will be a resource for Bowen, and the defensive staff." That is directly from Titansonline. Translation, hey Shane you're doing it wrong. Try this.

We were just absolute dog shit on 3rd and long and RZ. Hopefully he’s here to help with those two situations. SuperFreak90, No1TitansFan, and rns90
