I already told you, they would not let you be the parking attendant at the team's home office. VY knows more about football than you. I told you JRob was going to have to tell Vrabel things will have to be different. You see the players coming in now. I told you Clowney and Beasley were MV ideas. Now you see JS coming in. Your silly butt is trying to say he was in Cleveland with BB. That is not why JRob picked him. JS has a large history in the NFL and JRob didn't look at it and say "Oh, he was in Cleveland." But you go on delusional and thinking you know everything. Wrong. You made a bunch of baseless claims that Vrabel was making personnel decisions simply because they failed and made Robinson, who actually is in charge of personnel, look bad. You also want to claim that Robinson is making coaching hires for Vrabel, when there's no evidence of that. It's all in your pattern of "if you think it's a good move, it's Robinson" and if you think it's a bad move, it's Vrabel's fault. Nevermind that Robinson handpicked Vrabel and they are tied at the hip on everything. The only valid disagreement they had was about the length of rope Mariota had...... Schwartz has ties to Belichick and that whole crew - like Pioli. As does Vrabel and Robinson. The idea that these folks don't know each other well is idiotic. Schwartz is not coming in to be the defacto coordinator - he's likely a consultant type/sounding board for Vrabel much like he wanted Pees to be. rns90
Slightly surprised at this since I thought Schwartz was burned out and wanted to take the year off. Oh well, good hire for us. freakingeek

This ISN'T some full time NFL coaching gig......for right now at least. Edited April 7, 2021 by BudsOilers japan, and tgo
Titan8425
Hell, since we're all guessing at this stage. He's coming in part time to work with the Interior DL.

I like JRob, so what. This is the crux of the matter. Two years ago, I made a post praising JRob. You came and just attacked JRob as lucky-and said we'll see how he does going forward. I just was trying to appreciate the man's good work. That's when you said John Lynch was a much better GM than JRob. Last year he spent all his money for two players, Clowney(who supposedly had his best year under MV) and Vic Beasley. Why him? Did he ever show himself to be the type player JRob said he would bring in? I put 2+2 together and figured MV said he was the LB whisperer and would make Beasley great. Nobody but you flew off the handle saying I'm trying to protect JRob. I said JRob made a mistake, title of the thread. But you have some problem with JRob and are always saying wait until next year. JRob has already done a fabulous job with this team. You are the only one who seems unable to say it, without saying wait until next year. JS was connected to BB in 1990, so that's the connection. LMAO!!
tgo
Based on Kuharsky’s reporting, it sounds more like a consulting from afar type gig and working on special projects, at least at this point, and not a role that will have him in the classrooms or working on the field with players. LMAO!! Wrong - I said proclaiming Robinson to be a great GM was premature because he had to prove he could keep a built team together once you had to make decisions on whom to pay 2nd contracts to while having a lot less draft capital and cap space......I said he'd done a good job but the hard part was just starting in 2020. Well Robinson turned around and was butt fucked in free agency and the draft, whiffing on signings and picks....... You of course blamed Vrabel..... Hopefully the moves made to fix the talent on defense work. If not, it's another year of wasting Tannehill and Henry's prime along with Brown affordable on a rookie contract. As for Schwartz, it's well known that he's super close with Pioli and Dimitrioff as they all worked in Cleveland under Belichick. You know who else is tight with Pioli, maybe even moreso than Belichick? Robinson, who reported to him in NE and Vrabel, who worked with him as a player for 10 years in NE and KC.....They all run in the same circle. titanruss
Would not doubt if Amy forced another senior D staff with HC experience to be hired in some capacity.. for a number of reasons. It's obvious Vrabel was in charge of the D last year and it failed because of his schemes and his D history is not exactly glowing ( or even average) It's also pretty easy to Doubt vrabel is fully in charge of this hiring decision as he's too prideful to do this on his own. He can claim whatever he wants and say he brought staff in.. but it smells a lot like a forced senior hire to continue to help the younger HC out in his weaknesses Edited April 7, 2021 by titanruss
Number9
Jrob is a master of acquisitions. He will make every thing smooth and efficient. Schwartz has shown his talents in previous positions in the NFL. Jim will play his role as necessary. The major point is Jim is a heavy hitter coming to the Titans team. That's a JRob move. Btowner
Schwartz's ties to Belichick have been a great resume filler and name dropper, but it's overstated. He was basically an unpaid intern and spent more time with scouts than with the coaches. However, Belichick did put in a good word for him with Reese and Fisher. With that said, it will be interesting to see how he and Vrabel work together. Number9
