Same thing that always seems to happen.

A 2nd round pick 2 drafts out is absolutely a steal for that type of flyer. I don't care if he doesn't pan out, that value is a no brainer.

Imo, this will never happen.    The Titans totally lucked out and won the lottery with the Tannehill trade. It's the single most unexpected/best thing to ever happen to this franchise since

No doubt. Fucking trash Josh Rosen went for a 2nd rounder a couple years ago. 

 

Darnold has the tools. I think Joe Brady gets him on track.

Panthers are in the OT/CB shuffle at #8, I think.  

 

Some of the Panthers top draft needs certainly align with what the Titans needs are so there is a possible downside from this trade from a Titans perspective now the Panthers aren't aggressively chasing a QB in the draft.

Sure, but Josh Rosen cost the Dolphins a 2nd round pick and it was seen as a steal by many, too.

 

Darnold still has some upside, but he hasn’t shown much. Carolina is just rolling the dice.
