Starkiller
https://www.salon.com/2023/11/14/this-is-an-actual-incitement-legal-experts-alarmed-after-pushes-citizens-arrest/ Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday reposted a Truth Social post calling for a "citizen's arrest" of New York Attorney General Letitia James and Judge Arthur Engoron, who is overseeing his fraud trial. Trump shared a post by a user describing his "fantasy": "I WOULD LIKE TO SEE LITITIA JAMES AND JUDGE ENGORON PLACED UNDER CITIZENS ARREST FOR BLATANT ELECTION INTERFERENCE AND HARASSMENT." Legal experts expressed alarm over the post. "Sometimes he says incendiary things that his followers act on, as in 'will be wild.' This is an actual incitement to break the law and it greatly endangers the judge and AG," tweeted former U.S. Attorney Harry Litman. George Washington University Law Prof. Jonathan Turley, who frequently defends Trump in the media, also warned: "Just in case anyone is taking such a statement as more than a fantasy, there is no basis for a citizen’s arrest and such an effort to physically hold either the judge or the attorney general would most certainly constitute a criminal act." The maga didn't have any real national influence, they were like the blacks for democrats. Promises behind closed doors to both groups. Trump freed the maga to chose. Me or them rino's. And what did the rino want. They wanted things to run along just as before. They were all getting rich. The problem with giving maga a choice is they are not competent. They chose Q, Alex Jones, Rudy, covid hoax and the 'pillow man'. I don't think the party of the rich wanted Trump. Now they really don't want him but they helped create his people. Willie Horton. Liberals. Politic Putdowns. The base became a powerful group of idiots and now they run the top of the repub party today. They make the tail wag. Donald Trump Convicted Felon? Starkiller
Donald Trump has filed a motion for a mistrial in a New York court, alleging the judge overseeing the $250m fraud case is biased. Trump’s lawyers are asking the New York judge Arthur Engoron for a mistrial given “bias” and “improper co-judging” on the bench. “In this case the evidence of apparent and actual bias is tangible and overwhelming,” Trump’s lawyers wrote in the motion. “Only the grant of a mistrial can salvage what is left of the rule of law.” Given that Engoron is the one who will rule on the mistrial, which is blatantly criticizing his conduct on the court, he will likely strike down the motion. Popular Post reo
i don't think people have quite an idea of what Trump was able to do. So let's go through a thought exercise. Now this isn't his exact scheme but it gives you an idea of what's possible when you can lie to the banks and lie to the gov about valuations. Let's say you have no money but there's a property for sale for $1M. Now, sometimes depending on the property you can get an RD loan and wrap closing costs into the cost of the loan. It's how I bought my first house. I planned to be there for years (ended up 8-9) and it was after the housing crash so my mortgage was actually lower than what my rent would've been anywhere else so it worked out fairly well. So you get a loan for, let's say, $1.15M and buy the property. That's cool and all but it's not great if you don't have a job, don't want to work and don't have any money to make the loan payments. So let's see what we can do.... Now take that property and go to another bank and tell them it's worth $20M and you only owe $1.15M. Use that $20M to build you a nice house for $2M and pay off the other loan and now you have $17M in the bank. Are you massively in debt? Sure but you use the loan money to pay the payments. It's fine. But that's not enough. So you take that $17M and you buy another property worth $10M. You've still got $7M to make payments and to live off of so you're good. But let's be honest, $7M in the bank isn't impressive so let's keep dealing. Then you take that property to another bank and tell them it's worth $200M. Get a loan for $200M. But we all know that's not enough. So take that $200M and buy a couple properties for $20-30M and tell another bank that they're worth $500M each and get those loans. Now you're a billionaire real-estate mogul. Are you massively massively in debt? Sure. So on your taxes you tell the gov that all of these properties have devalued and they're not residential properties anymore but they're also not making you any money. So you get huge tax rebates... which you use to pay the loan payments. Will you run out of cash eventually b/c you're using the loan payments to live off of and to make the payments? Definitely but they're 30 yr loans and you're in your 40s so who cares? That is of course until you're in your 70s and all of the loans are coming due and you're broke. So what do you do? Look for other sources of income, maybe foreign banks and foreign countries.... maybe do some favors for them to get those loans. Maybe even sell some properties to some rich oligarchs to get some cash to both pay off some loans and to live off of for a while. That's Trump. That's the Trump brand. He's known as the king of debt for a reason. Edited November 28 by reo Come on Titans, IsntLifeFunny, ChemEngr79, and 2 others 4
Starkiller
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/appeals-court-reinstates-trump-gag-order-new-york-civil-tax-fraud-case-rcna127411 A state appeals court in New York reinstated a gag order against Donald Trump and his lawyers in the $250 million civil fraud caseagainst the former president and his company, rejecting his argument that the order was unconstitutional. State court officials had argued the gag order was necessary because of the "deluge" of threats directed at the clerk after Trump had blasted her on social media. Trump renewed his attacks on the clerk after a judge from the state Appellate Division issued a temporary stay of the order earlier this month. The ruling Thursday by a four-judge panel rejected Trump's appeal and reinstated the orders against Trump and his lawyers, who'd repeatedly complained about the clerk in court. The decision does not explain the judges' rationale but means the gag order will stay in place as the panel considers Trump's full appeal of the orders.
