He has no special expertise in any sport and is constantly wrong about things. At least the former 180 crew mostly talked about specific topics they really pay attention to. NashvilleNinja Posted January 15, 2021 Report Share Posted January 15, 2021 Clay Travis just seems like a Dollar Tree Jim Rome to me, and I can't stand Jim Rome, but getting Withrow/Hutton/PK has to be seen as a boost for his endeavors. Those three have a lot of fans who will follow them over to Outkock so it looks like a wise endeavor. And they may have more freedom to say what they really want to say away from Cumulus' watchful eye which may result in better content than they put out on Midday180. We'll see. Could be it was their choice, but 104.5 has been making a few lineup changes in the past year or two. Used to be 3HL was what's his face, Mickey Ryan, and Blaine Bishop. Then they moved Bishop to the morning show with Mark Howard and brought in Davenport. Then they cut Mark Howard loose and moved Bishop to a show inbetween the midday180 and 3HL with Mickey Ryan, and moved the midday180 further into the morning spot. Now the midday180 is done and Withrow/Hutton/PK are moving to Outkick. There may be other changes they've made, but that's just off the top of my head. People might not like the move to Outkick because of Travis and his politics, but as long as the content winds up being good after the dust settles who cares? It's my understanding that they left of their own volition. I haven't seen that definitively stated by someone who is authoritative on the subject.
