This is now wrong.

Republicans need a majority of the electorate to win re-election.  The minority that has given up on voting is worthless.  The organization depending Tech that is getting thrown off Tech is worthless.

Trump the ex-president on Twitter is powerful.  Trump the traitor with no platform is a liability.

You can’t win a general election as a Republican if 80% of the Republican voters vote for the other guy in the primary...

In the end, the Republican voters are going to have to come back to reality/democracy. They are going to be picking the Republican politicians. If the majority are still on Team Trump after this sedition then they are fucked. If most of the Trumptards abandon him and go back to the mainstream of the party then it’s another story.

The problem is, the mainstream of the party has been the minority for over a decade now. The Tea Party became the majority of the GOP, then overwhelmingly morphed into the cult Trump. They might quit on Trump, but I don’t see them just going back to the mainstream. They will likely remain extremists. Best hope is they don’t vote.

I have no idea if this is true...but it sounds worth the trouble

There also has to be more pressure on people like Cruz and the other elected officials who publicly supported this.    Dems should be getting messaging going non stop and demanding investiga

You understand the difference between protest/rioting and sedition/trying to overthrow the government right?

Pretty stupid retort.   Trump never called for overthrow of the government in any way.   And rioting is wrong for any reason, or do you not understand that?

80% of Republicans oppose the actions of the Capitol rioters.

I'm responding to this point out of respect.

Trump repeatedly pursued every possible avenue to overthrow the results of the election.  He failed in every legal challenge.  He was failing in the procedural challenge of objecting to the count on the 6th.

His final play was attack a co-equal branch of government.

This was a coup attempt.  I am sorry that you have to bear the embarrassment of being associated with this Un-American activity.

It's time to throw Trump out and in two years you can run better Republicans.

Lol. Yeah its bad for any reason. But these two things arent remotely comparable.

Did you hear the people chanting to hang the Vice President and searching  him out with a noose in the building?

Or the pictures of Guillotines outside the Arizona state house?

You saw the t shirts with “6MWNE” and other anti semitic shit?

You saw the guys in tactical gear with zip ties to take Congresspeople hostage with some of the perpetrators calling for their execution on social media?

You understand how different and non comparable these causes are surely?

bs, Trump never called for an such attack or anything close to it.  In fact they know the instigators were a bunch of young men that came with backpacks and goggles.  They obviously came preplanned to instigate rioting, and had nothing to do with Trump's speach.

So people are pissed.   You don't think the left would react any different if they felt the election was stolen?  It was hardly just Trump talking about fraud in the election.

Are you serious right now? I know you don’t actually believe this. He literally told them to march on the Capitol.

I posted a video of Trump and his family giddy with Kimberly Guilfoyle literally dancing watching this.

Sasse, a Republican, said the top people in the WH told him that Trump was happy and didn’t understand why everyone else wasn’t happy.

Trump refused to approve the use of the National Guard for almost two hours until they finally went around him and got approved from Pence and Milley.

You know that Pence refuses to talk to Trump and hasn’t spoken to him since Trump cussed him out on Wednesday morning, why do you think Pence is so livid at Trump right now?
