I’m unapologetically conservative, at least fiscally, but these people are fucking crazy. They are a real threat and should be taken very seriously. I’ve heard about Qanon for a while now but I’ve nev

Poor Republican snowflakes.

But many Republicans revolted against the new security measures as long lines of lawmakers waited to go through the screening so they could vote, causing delays for them to get onto the House floor.

Before Tuesday, lawmakers were allowed to skip security lines going into and out of the Capitol complex. They were able to walk around the mags simply by wearing the gold circular lapel pin that identified them as a member of Congress.

Three Republican lawmakers argued with Capitol Police about the issue.

'This is bull****,' Rep. Rodney Davis told the officers as he was checked. He also complained to House Democratic Leader Steny Hoyer, calling the new system 'horse****', that valuable resources were being diverted and the Republicans weren't consulted on the matter.

Rep. Markwayne Mullin said police 'can't stop me' from going through them.

And Rep. Steve Womack yelled at officers as he went through the magnetometer: 'You are creating a problem you do not understand the ramifications of.'

He said it is going to create chaos during votes with members steaming through.

'Get back,' he told them. 'Don't touch me.'

Pelosi said that the House will adopt new rules when it returns to session on Jan. 21 to mandate stiff fines for bypassing security: “$5,000 for the first offense and $10,000 for the second. The  fines will be deducted from lawmakers' salaries.”

”It is tragic that this step is necessary, but the chamber of the People’s House must and will be safe," Pelosi said in a statement.

The incoming fines for refusing to comply with new security measures come after numerous House Republicans berated Capitol Police officers on Tuesday and Wednesday for asking them to go through the metal detectors.

Yeah, well, kfuck off.  I have to get on planes.

Just more entitlement.  All the way from "I don't have to deal with security" to "I can seize the Capital if I want".

The range is pretty outstanding.

They only view entitlement as people taking money.  They don't see it as their own free reign to do whatever they want.

I would say unbelievable, but that's just no longer.

He was found by his wife in the basement of their home in Alpharetta, Georgia, ...

Christopher Stanton Georgia, who was said to have been a regional portfolio manager at a North Carolina bank, was arrested in Washington DC on Wednesday evening after taking part in the riot on the Capitol.

Shame for people to see what kind of person he actually was.

WASHINGTON — On Dec. 8, someone made a simultaneous transfer of 28.15 bitcoins — worth more than $500,000 at the time — to 22 different virtual wallets, most of them belonging to prominent right-wing organizations and personalities.

Now cryptocurrency researchers believe they have identified who made the transfer, and suspect it was intended to bolster those far-right causes. U.S. law enforcement is investigating whether the donations were linked to the Jan. 6 assault on the U.S. Capitol.
